George Russell celebrates Canadian Grand Prix win with champagne shower alongside Kimi Antonelli, see his girlfriend's reaction

After multiple podiums, George Russell finally picked up the winner's trophy this season at the Canadian Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver won his first race of the season and, for the first time, was joined by his rookie teammate Kimi Antonelli on the podium, as the latter achieved his first top-three finish.
Russell has now shared happy pictures of Kimi and himself soaked in champagne after the victory celebrations. Russell's girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt has also shared a post on the occasion.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Carmen Montero Mundt shared a poster declaring George Russell as the winner of the Canadian Grand Prix. She wrote along with it, 'Come on love!' and posted a blue heart emoji to match the colour of his helmet and shoes.

As Russell crossed the finish line, he said on the team radio, expecting a reaction from his team, 'Come on! Come on! Talk to me.' It seems his team too were overwhelmed with the win and took a second to react in the moment of happiness.

On Monday, Russell took to his Instagram page to share a post after his win. He shared pictures of himself and Kimi drenched in champagne and posing with their trophies and wrote, 'Champagne showers.
Solid job, team.'
Fans loved their bonding, visible in the pictures. A fan called it 'Big bro and little bro energy.' Another wrote, 'This is so brother core and I love it.' One more commented, 'The best driver duo, We love you boys!!' A comment from Adidas Motorsport's Instagram page read: 'This is what champagne dreams are made of.'
George Russell had won the pole and was able to maintain his lead throughout the race, with Red Bull's Max Verstappen trailing behind in second place ever since the race started.
The season's leading driver, Oscar Piastri, had a last-moment clash with his teammate Lando Norris and ended up taking fourth position in the race.
An overjoyed Russell had said after the win, "It is amazing to be back on the top step. I felt last year was a victory lost, so to get the victory and see Kimi on the podium too is an amazing day for the team. I think the strength of our car is in the cooler conditions so let's see in the coming races, but let's enjoy this for now. Good day, good day!"
