1st Group of Indonesian Pilgrims Departs for Saudi Arabia via Makkah Route Initiative
The first group of Indonesian pilgrims benefiting from the Makkah Route Initiative departed today from Adisumarmo International Airport in Solo, Indonesia, bound for Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in the Madinah Region of Saudi Arabia.
The Makkah Route Initiative streamlines the travel process for pilgrims by handling visa issuance electronically, collecting biometric data, and completing all travel procedures at the departure airport. This includes health checks and the coding and sorting of luggage in line with transportation and accommodation plans in the Kingdom.
