MetroParks to provide free kits for post-flood cleanup
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Once flood waters recede, litter and debris often cover the river corridors.
Post-flood cleanup can often take a long time and requires many people to help.
Five Rivers MetroParks volunteer services team will have free Adopt-A-Park Service Kits available on Saturday, April 26.
These kits are for anyone who'd like to help clean-up efforts. It can be used anywhere in the county, including the parks and neighborhoods.
When picking up the kit, MetroParks will provide tools for five people to join the cleanup. To reserve one, click here.
A 'thank-you' gift of an Adopt-a-Park tote bag and Love the Earth seed balls will be given to people joining the in-person effort on that Saturday.
Earth Week is from Wednesday, April 16, to Tuesday, April 22.
