Advait Energy secures ₹86.14 cr order from PGCIL for OPGW supply, installation

New Delhi: Advait Energy Transitions Limited (formerly known as Advait Infratech Limited) has been awarded a contract worth ₹86.14 crore (excluding taxes) by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited ( PGCIL ) for the supply and installation of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) and communication equipment across transmission lines at pan-India locations. The company said the order was accepted on May 14, 2025, in the normal course of business. The project falls under the Bulk Implementation (Supply + Erection) framework. The scope of the order includes Package OPGW-04 and is to be completed within 12 months from the date of issuance of lot-wise implementation instructions. According to the company, the project marks a strategic milestone and further strengthens its footprint in India's national power transmission network through the deployment of advanced communication infrastructure.

The scope of the project involves the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 180 MW / 360 MWh (AC Side) at Gujarat BESS's facility in Sanand, Gujarat. This order signifies continued investment in energy storage infrastructure in India, aligning with national goals for grid modernization and renewable integration. The project is scheduled for mechanical completion by November 30, 2025, with the final system charging expected by December 23, 2025. The total value of the contract, inclusive of taxes, stands at ₹7.43 crore.
