The Islamabad International Airport has introduced a special service for passengers with psychological disabilities, offering them tailored assistance and becoming first airport in the country for facilitating such air travelers. Upon arrival at the airport, passengers with invisible disabilities are provided with a special Sunflower Ribbon. Those wearing the ribbon receive priority services at all counters for quicker assistance. According to details, the new Islamabad International Airport has become the first Pakistani airport to offer such a facility. The airport's Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Manager, Aftab Gilani, explained that individuals with invisible disabilities are given a Sunflower Ribbon upon arrival.

First-ever cargo flight from China lands at Islamabad airport

According to Express News, the first cargo flight from Urumqi, operated by SF Airlines, arrived at Islamabad Airport carrying over 25 tons of goods. The Chinese delegation was warmly welcomed by Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Airport Manager Aftab Gilani. In a statement, Aftab Gilani highlighted that two cargo flights will operate weekly, with the possibility of further expansion in the future while emphasizing that this initiative will strengthen trade relations between Pakistan and China, two countries with long-standing ties. Gilani also mentioned that the commencement of cargo flights would not only boost trade but also lead to an increase in cargo throughput charges, resulting in a significant rise in revenue for the Pakistan Airport Authority. This development is expected to enhance connectivity between Pakistan and China, further facilitating the movement of goods and strengthening economic collaboration between the two nations.
