France's Macron Commits €1 Billion to Africa Electrification
French President Emmanuel Macron said his country will contribute €1 billion euros ($1.04 billion) to a World Bank-backed drive to increase access to electricity in Africa.
The money will be channeled through the Agence Francaise de Developpement, a French state development bank, by 2030, Macron said in a video address to the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Tuesday.
