'No Forgiveness For You': Singer Abby Abadi Firmly Rejects Son-In-Law's Apology
Family feuds are not an easy thing to manoeuvre, especially when they involve one of your beloved daughters. The line drawn between the love you have for your partner and respecting your parents' wishes may be difficult to discern if one party does not agree with the other.
Singer Arbaiyah Abdul Manan, known professionally as Abby Abadi, has taken a stance on not accepting the apology from her daughter's husband, Ahmad Aslam, who had secretly taken Abadi's 19-year-old daughter as his second wife last year in Thailand. He has publicly apologised on 18th April 2025 about the whole incident, four months after marrying Marrissa Dania Hakim.
The 47-year-old singer took to Threads to voice out her opinions after Aslam's public apology. 'When did you apologise- Aslam? Please explain the time and setting when you apologised? Did anything come out of my mouth during the apology?'. After the outburst on Threads, Abby went live on TikTok to talk about the case and invited him to apologise in person.
However, the artist retracted her invitation and has firmly closed the doors for any form of reconciliation between the two. Her post on Threads read, 'The live video that I mentioned for you to come and apologise is no longer valid. Don't come. There is no need. There is no forgiveness for you. I don't have a son-in-law'.
Netizens gave mixed reactions towards the statement, with some questioning where the blame was shifted to. User @/_pe.ah_ comments, 'He proudly shows his face on live with his first wife, but netizens condemn the first wife. Why not condemn the guy's side as well?'. Some netizens also comment on the method of exposing the family feud online, with user @/s_m00l commenting, 'It's true that the children are at fault, but you didn't have to expose this to the public. This should be settled between families'.
The tension between families grows as netizens have also commented how Abby Abadi should apologise to Ahmad Aslam's wife, local influencer Umaisya Mazlan. No statements have been released by her on the situation.
