PETALING JAYA : A man pleaded not guilty in the Ayer Keroh sessions court today to five charges of sexual assault, including carnal intercourse against the order of nature, against his friend's nine-year-old sister.
On the first four charges, Ahmad Dzul Fiqar Ahmad Fardzil, 21, is accused of 'holding' the victim in a sexual manner at an apartment in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, between 10pm on May 31 and 1am the following day.
He is also charged with committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature at the same place and time.
Deputy public prosecutor Wardah Ishhar proposed bail of RM20,000 for each charge, and the additional conditions that Ahmad Dzul report to a police station once a month and does not disturb the victim.
Ahmad Dzul's lawyer, Amritpal Singh, pleaded for a lower bail, saying his client works as a restaurant assistant and is from a low-income family.
The court set bail at RM25,000 for all the charges and set July 8 for re-mention of the case and handover of documents.
