Malaysia Strengthens Position As ASEAN Halal Industry Leader At AHEX 2025

PATTANI (Thailand), June 27 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's participation in the ASEAN Halal Expo 2025 (AHEX 25) in Pattani, southern Thailand, reflects the country's continued commitment to strengthening its position in the regional halal industry.
Malaysia's Consul General in Songkhla, Ahmad Fahmi Ahmad Sarkawi, said AHEX 25 serves as a strategic platform to promote halal products and foster cross-border cooperation among producers, distributors, and buyers from across ASEAN.

He said a total of 30 Malaysian companies are participating in the expo at ASEAN Mall here from June 25 to 29.
'AHEX 25 is a strategic platform that unites economic potential, culture, and shared values in the halal world,' he stated after the opening ceremony of AHEX 25.
According to Ahmad Fahmi, the participation of government agencies in AHEX 25 reflects the government's commitment to creating opportunities for industry players to expand their businesses.
He also said that agencies such as the Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp), the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), and the Malaysian Agriculture Office in Bangkok under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Malaysia play a vital role in efforts to strengthen the country's halal exports.
Meanwhile, Director of ASEAN Mall Pattani and President of Uniti Asia Group, Datuk Jamal Mohd Amin, said nearly 100 companies from across ASEAN are taking part in this year's expo.
'The potential transaction value from business matching throughout the expo is estimated to reach 20 million baht,' he said.
