Massive marches in Taiz affirm unwavering support for Gaza, condemn US-Israeli escalation
Taiz - Saba: The people of Taiz province on Friday staged massive demonstrations in 33 squares across its districts under the rallying Cry: "Steady with Gaza in the Face of US and Israeli Escalation." The marches served as a powerful display of solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza. Residents from the eastern square districts and the center of Khadir district gathered, with the participation of Acting governor Ahmed al-Masawa, Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region Brigadier General Nour al-Din al-Marani, Brigadier General Saleh Hajeb. The marchers resolutely affirmed Yemen's continued support for the Palestinian people and its stance against "US aggression." A significant march also took place in al-Rasoul al-Adham Square in al-Ta'iziyah district, drawing the attendance of several members of Shura Council. Participants in this march declared their readiness to engage in the "battle of the promised conquest and holy jihad." Further pro-Gaza demonstrations were held in the squares of al-Mashareeb, al-Rubaie, al-Haymah, al-Zawaqir, and across numerous districts and areas including Qiyad, al-Ja'adi, Mawiyah, Haifan, Maqbanah, al-Mawasit, al-Salw, Sharab al-Rawnah, Khadir al-Buraihi, and Sharab al-Salam. Participants in all 33 marches across Taiz condemned the recent "US-led aggression" targeting Ras Issa oil port in Hodeida province, which resulted in the reported martyrdom and injury of dozens of civilians. They emphasized that the escalation of "US aggression" against the Yemeni people would not deter them from their firm and principled stance in supporting their "brothers in Gaza." A statement issued by the Taiz marches reiterated that, in continuation of Yemen's honorable stances rooted in "faith, wisdom, and jihad," the Yemeni people had taken to the streets in their millions, striving for what they believe is the sake of Allah, seeking divine pleasure, supporting the Palestinian people, and responding to the US-Zionist aggression against their country. They affirmed the unwavering steadfastness of the Yemeni position with Gaza, regardless of the scale of American escalation, and declared that the Yemeni people would not fail to implement what they consider God's clear directives in the Holy Quran, undeterred by "American or other pressure." The statement proclaimed their readiness for any form of escalation and their continued comprehensive support for the Palestinian people, both officially and through popular mobilization, including military operations, general mobilization, mass demonstrations, events, financial contributions "in the cause of God," an economic boycott of perceived enemies, and extensive media and cultural efforts. The statement also asserted that the "American aggression" against Yemen had failed to achieve any of its objectives, the primary one being its inability to break the will and determination of the Yemeni people. It stated that "the enemy has been unable to influence our victorious armed forces. Its operations continue deep within the enemy's territory, our seas are off-limits to its ships, aircraft carriers are failing one after the other, and the enemy's most advanced aircraft are being shot down. Allah's protection is evident and we can see and feel it, praise and thanks be to Allah." The statement concluded by calling upon the peoples of the nation to join us in this effort, responding to Allah's call to defend ourselves against the enemy's violation of our countries. Otherwise, shame and humiliation are our fate in this world, and painful torment in the afterlife." Whatsapp Telegram Email
