MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) — The Harrisburg International Airport is busier than usual this weekend, and it's not just Memorial Day travel. The Air Dot Show Central PA is in town this weekend. While some may have secured their spot to see the show at the airport near Middletown early, there wasn't a bad time to arrive. Berks native to lead F-16 Viper Demonstration Team at Harrisburg air show 'It's been great so far,' Anne Marie Lora told abc27 News. 'We've loved watching everything in the sky and all the trickster planes and all the smoke behind them. So we've really enjoyed our time here.' The U.S. Navy Blue Angels are the shows headline act and are back in the Midstate for the first time in decades. 'My husband and I actually remember it from when we were kids,' Megan Walsh said. PHOTOS: Air Dot Show thunders over Harrisburg 'I was a lot younger than what my son and actually my two sons, they're one of the ones that lives in Florida now. So, he's not here,' Andy Hirko said. 'But this year we're able to bring the grandson along, too. He loves it. He loves the Blue Angels. He's been taking pictures of everything, the F-35, the F-16. So he's really excited and just doing a lot of pictures.' A lot may have changed at Harrisburg International Airport since the Blue Angels' last appearance here, a lot has stayed the same. Local flight nurse to fly with Blue Angels at Air Dot Show Central Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM)– A local flight nurse with Life Lion Critical Care Transport will fly with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels at the Air Dot Show Central Pennsylvania later this month. Flight nurse Heather Heisley was selected to fly with the Blue Angels as a part of their 'Key Influencer' program that honors locals, the Air Dot Show said. Heisley will ride in the back seat of an F/A-18 Super Hornet for 45 minutes on May 23, experiencing loops, rolls, and turns thousands of feet above the ground. Close Thanks for signing up! I'm sure I will remember this experience forever.' The Air Dot Show said Heisley has worked as a nurse for 29 years, and primarily focuses on caring for children from premature infants to young adults. Blue Angels to headline Central Pennsylvania Air Dot Show Air Dot Show Central PA will take place at the Harrisburg International Airport on May 24 and 25, and will feature performances from the West Point Parachute Team, the F-16 Viper Demo Team, the Blue Angels, and more. F-16 Viper announced in Harrisburg air show lineup

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) — The F-16 Viper Demo Team is coming to the Midstate. The military fighter jet will perform as part of the Air Dot Show Central PA at the Harrisburg International Airport May 24-25. The jet, organizers say, will show off its full capabilities with high speed maneuvers at over 600 mph, inverted spins, and more. Headlining the air show this year are the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
