JFK Airport: Van Wyck Expressway closures and AirTrain suspensions
QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — Do you need to get to John F. Kennedy International Airport for a late-night or early-morning flight? Consider giving yourself some wiggle room.
Drivers will likely see delays due to daily closures for ongoing construction on the Van Wyck Expressway.

Southbound Van Wyck Expressway will have southbound left lane closures between Exit C and the Federal Circle onramp. The closures will run from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. on March 26 through 28.
Detours will be established to guide vehicles through Federal Circle. Drivers are asked to plan accordingly and allow at least 10 to 15 extra minutes for travel time.
For travelers planning to take the AirTrain JFK, there is a partial service disruption from 11 p.m. on March 21 through 11 a.m. on March 24. There will be no service on the AirTrain JFK Jamaica line between Jamaica station and Federal Circle station.
There will be free shuttle buses replacing the AirTrain.
