Prop Ese'ese signs new contract with Hull FC
Herman Ese'ese has signed a new contract to stay at Hull FC until the end of the 2029 Super League season. The Auckland-born prop was already contracted until the end of next season, but he has added three more years on, while the club has an option to extend it by another year to who had previously played for five NRL clubs, joined the Airlie Birds last year."I believe we are building towards something special here and I am really privileged to be a part of that," he told the club's website., external "I'm buzzing that I get to don the famous black and white jersey for more years to come and I will always give 100%. Up the Airlie Birds." The 30-year-old has made a strong start to this campaign, scoring a try in each of his side's past four games in all competitions, including Thursday's win at Castleford are up to second in Super League and can next look forward to facing league leaders and rivals Hull KR in the Challenge Cup quarter-final on 5 April.

New Hull FC owners will bring success
Hull FC's new owners Andrew Thirkill and David Hood will transform the club and bring success in time, boss John Cartwright has pair took over from Adam Pearson in December after a poor season in which the Airlie Birds finished second from bottom of Super formerly coach of NRL side Gold Coast Titans, has also arrived during a much-changed winter at the club."Everything they touch they're not used to not having success. I'd love to say that's going to be right now, but success will come - it's just a matter of when." The Black and Whites endured a dismal season in 2024, winning just three of their 27 Super League other changes at the club in the off-season, director of rugby Richie Myler has taken over as chief executive and will oversee matters on and off the field."They [Thirkill and Hood] are hands-on in the business. It's been a bit of a whirlwind for them. They've taken over a club in a pretty short space of time," Cartwright added."I know they've worked with every section of the club. They're working on making all of those sections better. Football-wise will probably be the last place they come to."They've let Richie and myself stay in control of that, but they've also let me know they're only a phone call away."
