Airtel launches India's first all-in-one OTT Entertainment Packs for prepaid users starting at Rs 279
Bharti Airtel has launched a new range of prepaid plans that bundle access to multiple over-the-top (OTT) streaming platforms. These plans are targeted at users who want simplified access to digital entertainment without managing multiple individual subscriptions. The new prepaid plans include access to popular OTT platforms such as Netflix (Basic), JioHotstar, Zee5, SonyLiv, Lionsgate Play, AHA, SunNxt, Hoichoi, Eros Now, ShemarooMe, and Airtel Xstream Play Premium. Content is available across more than 16 languages, including regional and international content, covering TV shows, movies, documentaries, and original productions. Airtel offers multiple options for users to choose from. One of the entry-level plans is priced at ₹279 with a validity of one month. This includes subscriptions to Netflix Basic, Zee5, JioHotstar, and Airtel Xstream Play Premium. This plan is available either directly through the Airtel Xstream Play app or as a content-only prepaid pack, both at the same price and validity. For users seeking data and calling benefits along with entertainment, Airtel has introduced bundled plans. The ₹598 plan includes unlimited 5G data, unlimited voice calls, and the same OTT access for 28 days. A longer-duration version of this plan is available for ₹1729, with a validity of 84 days. With these offerings, Airtel is aiming to provide a consolidated entertainment solution for its prepaid customers. The bundled plans are designed to cater to growing consumer demand for streaming content while offering flexibility and ease of access through a single recharge. Bharti Airtel offers Google One cloud subscription to postpaid, WiFi customers
Kolkata: Bharti Airtel has partnered with Google to offer a Google One cloud storage subscription service to help its postpaid and WiFi customers overcome limited device storage challenges. Under the Google One subscription on offer, Airtel postpaid and Wi-Fi customers will get access to six months of 100 GB Google One cloud storage at no extra cost. They will also be able to share this storage with up to five additional people. To avail of the offer, eligible Airtel customers need to log on to the Airtel Thanks app and claim the benefit. After six months of 100 GB storage at no charge, a fee of ₹125 a month will be added to the customer's monthly bill. Additionally, WhatsApp chats on Android are backed up to Google Account storage, which will make device switching easier for customers. The cloud storage provision is compatible with both Android and iOS platforms, making it widely accessible to Airtel's customer base, the company said in a media statement Tuesday. 'Storage has become a significant concern for users. We are pleased to collaborate with Google to address this issue by providing customers with dependable, secure and user-friendly storage solutions,' Siddharth Sharma, Airtel's director (marketing) & CEO (connected homes), said. Bharti Airtel has announced a new partnership with Google that will offer users free access to 100GB of Google One cloud storage. However, the offer is only for Airtel's postpaid mobile and broadband (Wi-Fi) users, who will get a complimentary 6-month subscription to Google's cloud service at no extra to Airtel, the 100GB cloud storage offer will be available for 6 months from the date of activation. The eligible users can redeem the benefit through the Airtel Thanks app, where an option to activate the Google One storage plan will be made available. This pack will be valid in 189 countries and for the people who will go on short trips abroad. Airtel's plan is considered as India's first unlimited IR plan.
