Aldi Is Finally Opening Stores in This Popular U.S. City

Aldi is finally coming to Nevada, with three news stores opening in the Southwestern state. Two locations are already open and the third store will open later this true Aldi fan will tell you, the store is absolutely worth the hype it gets. Behind its minimalist digs and quirks lie unbeatable prices on everyday essentials—not to mention all the limited-time goodies that catch our eyes in the Aisle of Shame. Plus, Aldi is packed with copycat products that are often even better than the original brand names themselves. Need we say more? While 38 states have at least one Aldi location, the bulk of these stores are concentrated in a few specific states such as Florida, Illinois, and Ohio. Other areas of the country, like the Pacific Northwest or pockets of the Southwest, are still patiently waiting for Aldi to arrive. But for shoppers in Nevada, the wait is over, as Aldi's expansion into new uncharted territory includes The Silver State. Last month, Aldi opened its first two stores in Las Vegas, hosting grand opening events for the new locations in North Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. And instead of quarters, the celebration featured Aldi-branded poker chips to insert into those famous shopping cart handles. With soaring food prices still a major concern for shoppers, these openings are a big deal for the Nevada market. According to the 2025 ALDI Price Leadership Report, the company claims that shoppers can save up to 36 percent on their average grocery run, and that the savings for a family of four adds up to about $4,000 a year compared to other grocery stores. Now, families in the Las Vegas area can reap those benefits, too. On Facebook, fans said the latest openings in the area are 'a long time coming' and that they are 'surprised it took this long for Vegas to get Aldi,' especially when other markets like 'Phoenix has had them for a while.' The new locations in Henderson, Nevada and North Las Vegas are just the start of what's to come in the area. A third location will open on May 15 in Las Vegas and in a press release, Aldi hinted that a fourth Las Vegas location is expected by the end of the year. These Nevada locations are part of Aldi's 5-year national growth strategy, which has the store set to open more than 225 new locations this year and 800 stores by the end of 2028. So, if you're still waiting for an Aldi store in your neighborhood, it could be coming very soon! Read the original article on ALLRECIPES

The $1 Aldi Grocery I'm Stocking in My Pantry All Spring (I Use It Every Week)

I started shopping at Aldi back in my college days, and the total of my weekly receipt is as important now as it was back then. If you're new to the hype, Aldi is a growing chain of small grocery stores that bypass on extras, like music on the loudspeakers, in favor of a back-to-basics bottom line. The shelves are lined with private-label or store brand products, offering only a few popular name brands. Its ever-popular Aisle of Shame may draw shoppers in with limited-edition (often viral) finds, but what keeps Aldi's cost-conscious consumers coming back are the low prices. One item that I always pick up at Aldi costs less than $1: Aldi's Pueblo Linda Chopped Green Chiles. It's one of the most budget-friendly buys you can add to your cart, and that's why I'm keeping it stocked in my pantry all spring long (and beyond). Adding a can of chopped green chiles to dinner is one of my go-to flavor-boosting chiles are roasted, peeled, and diced. Every can adds mild chile flavor without too much heat. These Pueblo Linda Chopped Green Chiles come in the same 4-ounce cans you'll find in other major grocery stores, so substituting Aldi's product for one that you're used to buying is seamless. The biggest difference between the chiles you can buy at Aldi and other grocers is the price. One can of these chiles is just 89 cents at Aldi, while at other stores the same thing can cost over $2. At less than half the price, stocking up at Aldi is one of the smartest ways to save on your groceries. One of my family's favorite meals is Green Chile Skillet Chicken, where the chiles and salsa verde infuse chicken breasts with a fantastic flavor. Don't let leftovers go to waste. Mix that chicken (or any cooked, shredded chicken) with another can of green chiles, sour cream, and cheese. Wrap the mixture in tortillas and bake for the most delicious Sour Cream Enchiladas. Add a can of chopped green chiles to soups, stews and chilis that you are simmering on the stove. It's a natural match for Creamy White Bean Chili, hearty Vegetarian Chili, and Chicken Tortilla Soup. Every soup needs a slice of bread for dipping, and you can add a can of green chilis to those recipes too. Stir the chiles into the seasoned mayonnaise before topping Cheesy Garlic Bread or mix the chiles into the wet ingredients when making a batch of fluffy cornbread. Start your day with chiles, by stirring them into scrambled eggs or baking them into an egg casserole. Mix green chiles with store-bought mayonnaise to add even more flavor to sandwich spreads for lunch. With so many ways to use Pueblo Linda Chopped Green Chiles and at less than $1 per can, it's smart to pick up a few extra cans next time you're at Aldi.
