Perdana Fellow Programme to be expanded
SHAH ALAM: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the government plans to expand the Perdana Fellow Programme for university students, with a new model being developed by Akademi Kenegaraan.
He said the expansion would provide more opportunities for young people to gain experience and insight from national leaders through direct involvement.
"We will discuss ways to ensure that those who do not get the opportunity to join the Perdana Fellow Programme are given other avenues to meet and learn from government leaders, ministers and deputy ministers," he said.
"This matter is being managed by Akademi Kenegaraan and other relevant bodies so that more young people can gain exposure to public administration and work culture."
Now in its tenth year, the Perdana Fellow Programme serves as a platform for young Malaysians to gain a deeper understanding of national policy and governance.
