Kuwait Airways ensures comfort and smooth procedures for returning pilgrims
KUWAIT CITY, June 10: Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) on Monday received the first group of pilgrims returning from Saudi Arabia after performing the Hajj pilgrimage, with all necessary measures in place to guarantee comfort and efficiency during their arrival at Kuwait International Airport. Abdulmohsen Al-Faqan, Chairman of KAC's Board of Directors, affirmed the national carrier's commitment to providing a smooth and convenient travel experience for returning pilgrims. Speaking during the reception of flights arriving at Terminal 4 (T4) from Jeddah, Medina, and Taif, Al-Faqan emphasized the airline's efforts to ensure seamless procedures upon arrival. He praised the collaborative efforts between Kuwait Airways and several key agencies, including the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Ministries of Interior and Health, and the General Administration of Customs. Al-Faqan credited the success of this year's Hajj season to thorough preparation and coordinated planning among all stakeholders involved. Highlighting the airline's structured approach, Al-Faqan noted that KAC annually forms a dedicated Hajj and Umrah committee drawn from its core departments to monitor and facilitate the pilgrimage season. This committee ensures the smooth operation of flights and provides comprehensive support to pilgrims throughout their journey. Al-Faqan also extended his appreciation to the Kuwaiti leadership for the support extended to pilgrims and congratulated Saudi Arabia on the successful and secure organization of the Hajj season. Meanwhile, DGCA Chairman Sheikh Eng. Humoud Mubarak Humoud Al-Sabah conducted an inspection tour at Kuwait International Airport to oversee the arrival process of returning pilgrims. Accompanied by Acting Interior Ministry Undersecretary Major General Ali Al-Adwani, Sheikh Humoud underscored the DGCA's dedication to offering high-quality services in cooperation with other government bodies. He highlighted the importance of coordination between administrative and security agencies to ensure an orderly and dignified return for all pilgrims. Sheikh Humoud lauded the performance of airport teams and the atmosphere of organization witnessed during the reception process.

Following the signing ceremony, Chairman of Kuwait Airways, Abdul Mohsen Al-Faqan, stated that the partnership with Regent Aerospace represents a significant step forward for the national carrier. He described the collaboration as a "qualitative leap" for Kuwait Airways. Al-Faqan also noted that Kuwait Airways has provided logistical support to Regent Aerospace in establishing its regional hub in Kuwait. This move aims to strengthen the company's role and services across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as well as the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He confirmed that Regent Aerospace will soon commence the renovation and furnishing of Kuwait Airways' aircraft cabins. Al-Faqan added that Kuwait Airways has formed partnerships with various local companies, organizations, and government bodies to further promote the airline, also known as the "Blue Bird." In a separate statement, Reza Soltaniyan, a representative of Regent Aerospace, expressed his appreciation for the support received from Kuwait Airways. He explained that Regent Aerospace specializes in aircraft cabin maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and comprehensive inspection services worldwide. Soltaniyan also revealed that with backing from Kuwait Airways' leadership, Regent Aerospace has established its regional headquarters in Kuwait. Kuwait Airways to offer 58 destinations worldwide in summer 2025
KUWAIT CITY - Kuwait Airways has announced its flight schedule for the summer season of 2025, with a focus on popular destinations expected to experience high demand from June to September. Abdul Mohsen Al-Faqan, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kuwait Airways, stated in a press release on Sunday that the airline is launching flights to new and diverse destinations, as well as expanding its presence in untapped markets. Notably, flights to Moscow will commence with four weekly services starting on June 6. Other new destinations for the summer include Alexandria, which will have three weekly flights starting on July 1, and Luxor, which will also see three weekly flights starting on July 2. Popular summer destinations will include Antalya, Bodrum, and Trabzon, each with four weekly flights beginning in June. Antalya and Bodrum flights will start on June 2, while Trabzon flights will begin on June 1. Other highlights for summer 2025 include Sharm El-Sheikh with two weekly flights starting on June 4, Malaga with three weekly flights starting on June 5, and Nice with two weekly flights starting on June 17. In addition, Kuwait Airways will increase services to Salalah with four weekly flights starting on June 2, Vienna with four weekly flights starting on June 1, and Kuala Lumpur with three weekly flights starting on June 1. The airline's summer 2025 schedule will include 58 destinations worldwide, including its permanent destinations. To accommodate increased passenger demand on European routes, Kuwait Airways will deploy Boeing B777-300 wide-body aircraft, offering Royal and Business Class cabins for enhanced customer experience. Al-Faqan emphasized that the airline's decisions were based on detailed studies assessing market feasibility, customer demand, and the potential benefits to Kuwait Airways. He confirmed the airline's commitment to diversifying its global network and adding new routes. Kuwait Airways, founded in 1953 under the name Kuwait National Airways Limited, began its first flights on March 16, 1954. The Kuwaiti government acquired full ownership of the airline in 1962.
