Dhamar tribes end 25-year murder feud in Landmark reconciliation

Dhamar - Saba: After 25 years of bitter dispute, Al-Jabr and Al-Jamal tribes of Jabal Al-Sharq district of Dhamar province have achieved a historic reconciliation, ending a long-standing murder case. A public ceremony witnessed Sinan Mohammed Al-Jabr, representing the victim's family, announce a complete pardon for Ali Abdullah Al-Jamal, the perpetrator in the decades-old killing of Sheikh Mohammed Ali Al-Jabr. The reconciliation, lauded by officials as a testament to Yemeni tribal values, was the result of extensive efforts by tribal leaders and government officials, including Advisor to the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Al-Maqdashi, Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, Daifallah Rassam, and Governor of Dhamar, Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti. "This pardon is in honor of the reconciliation efforts and in compliance with the call of our leadership to end such disputes," said Al-Jabr during the ceremony. Governor Al-Bukhaiti praised Al-Jabr tribe's act of forgiveness, highlighting its role in promoting social unity and stability. He urged other tribes to follow suit, emphasizing the need to resolve internal conflicts and focus on confronting external threats. "Tolerance and forgiveness are acts of dignity," stated Governor Al-Bukhaiti, "and are essential for building a secure and stable society." The reconciliation was hailed as a significant step towards strengthening social cohesion and unity in Dhamar, and a powerful example of the Yemeni people's commitment to peace and forgiveness.
