Grand Mosque Uses 2 KG of Premium Oud to Enhance Worship Experience

The Grand Mosque is intensifying its use of premium oud and incense during Ramadan to create a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere for worshippers. The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has expanded its incense rituals at the Grand Mosque in Makkah during Ramadan, conducting 20 rounds of premium oud incense daily to enhance the spiritual ambiance for worshippers. The initiative involves burning two kilograms of high-quality natural oud throughout the mosque's halls and courtyards, ensuring a continuous fragrance that complements the sacred experience of prayer and reflection. In addition to these incense rounds, sacred sites within the Grand Mosque—including the Black Stone, Al-Multazam, and the Yemeni Corner—are perfumed five times daily with a blend of amber and rose oil before each prayer. This tradition aims to create an atmosphere of reverence and serenity, aligning with the heightened spirituality of the holy month. This effort is part of broader initiatives to enhance worshippers' experience at the Two Holy Mosques. In recent months, the authority has introduced expanded shaded areas, enhanced cooling systems, and improved crowd management strategies to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims. Additionally, a dedicated mobility platform was recently launched to facilitate transportation for elderly and disabled worshippers.
