Jordanian Foreign Ministry condemns Zionist Settlers' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Amman – SABA: The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Zionist settlers, along with the provocative and unacceptable practices that accompanied it, which aim to desecrate the mosque. The ministry described these actions as a blatant violation of international law and the established historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its holy sites. The ministry's spokesperson, Sufyan Al-Qudah, affirmed Jordan's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of the repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Zionist settlers. He described the act as a provocative and inciting attempt to impose new facts on the ground by dividing the mosque temporally and spatially. He warned of the grave consequences of these continued violations and desecration attempts, which he said would not be possible without the facilitation and protection of the extremist settlers by the occupying Israeli police. He demanded that 'Israel' immediately cease all irresponsible practices and end them without delay. Al-Qudah stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims and reaffirmed that the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs' Jerusalem Waqf Department is the sole legal authority responsible for managing the mosque's affairs and regulating access to it. He issued a warning about the ramifications for regional security and stability of Israel's continuous violations in Gaza and the West Bank. In order to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the region, Ambassador Al-Qudah urged the international community to fulfill its moral and legal obligations, force Israel to immediately stop its aggression against Gaza, open the crossings used to deliver humanitarian aid to the Strip, and respect the Palestinian people's legitimate right to establish their own independent, sovereign state on pre-1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Jordan condemns 'Israel's' approval of establishing 'voluntary emigration' bureau

Jordan strongly condemned 'Israel's' announcement to establish an agency targeting the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip under the guise of "voluntary departure." The statement by the Foreign Ministry comes after the approval by 'Israel's' Security Cabinet of the separation of 13 illegal settlement neighborhoods in the West Bank, paving the way for their "legalization" as colonial settlements. In a statement, the ministry's official spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, emphasized that all 'Israeli' actions aimed at displacing Palestinians from their land are void and constitute a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law. He added that these practices amount to the crime of forced displacement and called on the international community to bear its legal and ethical responsibility to pressure 'Israel' into halting its aggression against Gaza and its targeting of Palestinian presence in the West Bank. Ambassador Al-Qudah reiterated that the Jordanian government utterly rejects all 'Israeli' actions that violate UN resolutions and international law, particularly Security Council Resolution 2334, which condemns Israel's attempts to alter the demographic makeup of the occupied Palestinian territories since 1967, including East Jerusalem.
