Al-Talaba climb to third in Iraqi Stars League after Round 32 win; key clashes today
Baghdad ( – Al-Talaba SC surged to third place in the Iraqi Stars League standings after securing a crucial 2-0 victory over Karbala in Round 32 action on Tuesday (May 6, 2025). The round continues today, Wednesday, with four more decisive encounters.
Professional Augustine Omutu was the star for Al-Talaba, netting both goals (10′, 46′) to take his team to 55 points. In another key Tuesday result, Al-Naft defeated Duhok 1-0, thanks to an Ahmed Khalid strike (54′), moving Al-Naft to 7th with 48 points.
