The race will take place on Tuesday from 6 pm to 7 pm, starting at City Centre Al Seeb and ending at the picturesque Gardens of Al Sahwa Towers. The race marks more than just a fitness challenge — it is a celebration of wellness in all its forms. Open to participants of all ages and backgrounds, the event underscores the shared values of health, sustainability and community, which lie at the heart of both Al Fanar Group and Grohe. Inspired by the mission to promote an active lifestyle while introducing a new era of wellness through design, the 5K run reflects the ethos behind the Grohe Spa Exhibition. 'The inspiration came from the desire to promote wellness and an active lifestyle while also showcasing the luxurious and innovative offerings of the Grohe Spa,' said an event organiser. 'Combining these two elements creates a unique experience that encourages community participation and highlights the importance of both physical health and relaxation.' The scenic route has been carefully designed to energise and inspire, featuring cheering zones, multiple water stations and an atmosphere charged with community enthusiasm. With categories recognising top male and female runners as well as participants over 40, the race welcomes competitive spirit while maintaining its inclusive ethos. Located within City Centre Al Seeb, the Grohe Spa Exhibition is a first-of-its-kind experience in the Gulf region. Merging cutting-edge technology with sustainable design, the exhibition highlights Grohe's commitment to redefining the modern spa experience. Visitors will experience smart water innovations, eco-friendly spa concepts and a curated selection of luxurious wellness products that aim to transform everyday routines into moments of indulgence. Participants in the run can look forward to more than just a personal best. All registered runners will receive exclusive event t-shirts and commemorative medals. Cash prizes and honorary awards will be given to the top three male runners, top three female runners and top three runners aged 40 and above. 'Winners can expect exciting prizes,' teased the organiser, adding that surprises will be revealed at the event's closing ceremony. This event is not a one-off, but part of a broader vision. 'Yes, there are plans to continue organising community events that focus on wellness and active living,' confirmed the team behind the initiative. 'The goal is to foster an ongoing culture of health and fitness within the community.' The integration of sustainability is also a core aspect of the event planning. From biodegradable materials and recycling points to waste-reduction campaigns, every detail has been thoughtfully considered. Al Fanar Group sees sports and wellness as powerful tools to bring people together and strengthen social bonds. 'These events can build camaraderie and a sense of belonging among participants,' they noted, emphasising how wellness initiatives can contribute to a more connected, healthier Oman. With expectations of a large turnout, safety is top of mind. On-site medical teams, clearly marked routes and adherence to local health regulations will ensure that the event is safe and enjoyable for all.
