Madinah Bus Network expands with nine new routes
Madinah -- Al Madinah Region Development Authority has announced a major expansion of the Madinah Bus project with nine new routes set to launch in May, bringing the total network to 15 routes. This project is an initiative under the Pilgrim Experience Program, a key component of the Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at enriching the experience of pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque, while also enhancing the quality of life for Madinah residents. The authority stated that the expanded bus network will feature 177 buses operating along 639 kilometers of routes, serving 455 stations, including 195 shared stations. The expansion is designed to connect main residential and vital areas across all four directions of Madinah, enhancing mobility and traffic flow to more effectively meet the needs of both residents and visitors. Catering to diverse needs, five routes will operate 24 hours a day, while the remaining routes will run between 15 and 22 hours daily. The project seeks to provide sustainable transportation solutions by reducing reliance on private vehicles, alleviating traffic congestion, and lowering carbon emissions. It also offers smart, fast, and safe transportation options, adhering to top international standards, and integrates with other city transportation means for a seamless user experience. The Madinah Bus project is a key contributor to building a sustainable economy by developing Madinah's public transportation infrastructure.

Transavia France will launch flights to Madinah
RIYADH: The Air Connectivity Program, in partnership with the Al Madinah Region Development Authority, has announced the expansion of Transavia France's travel services to Saudi Arabia. Beginning in October, new routes will be launched from Paris-Orly, Lyon, Marseille, and Toulouse to Madinah. This expansion complements the successful launch last year of routes connecting Paris-Orly and Lyon with Jeddah, enhancing air connectivity and reflecting the growth in travel demand between the two countries. It also underscores the Kingdom's position as a major destination and supports the tourism goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by increasing the number of tourists to the Kingdom. CEO of the Air Connectivity Program Majid Khan described the development of air connectivity between France and Saudi Arabia as a fundamental pillar of the National Tourism Strategy. He highlighted that this expansion will help capitalize on the significant opportunities in France's Umrah market, while supporting the Kingdom's tourism objectives. CEO of Tibah Airports Operation Co. Sofiene Abdessalem stated that the selection of Madinah among Transavia France's new destinations confirms the city's religious and cultural status, while underlining the efforts made to enhance its presence on the international air connectivity map. Chief Commercial Officer of Transavia France Nicolas Henin said the airline is excited to start flights to Madinah and strengthen its ongoing partnership with Saudi airports.

Madinah Bus launches 24/7 airport-to-Prophet's Mosque route for Ramadan
Madinah -- The Madinah Bus service, overseen by Al Madinah Region Development Authority, announced Tuesday the launch of a dedicated public transport route operating around the clock throughout Ramadan. The route will run between Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport and the Prophet's Mosque, providing seamless transportation for visitors. The authority encouraged beneficiaries to check the designated stops for the shuttle service via and select their boarding point accordingly.

The sub-stations will serve three distinct districts Madinah Bus, supervised by the Al Madinah Region Development Authority, has announced the launch of three free sub-stations in various districts during Ramadan: Al Daitha, Al Uyun, and Al Gharra. These stations will operate throughout the month of Ramadan to help facilitate access to the seven main stations leading to Al-Masjid an-Nabawy.
