Qatar attends meeting of GCC Hajj Mission chiefs in Makkah
QNA Makkah Qatar participated in the annual meeting of the heads of Hajj affairs offices of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held at the headquarters of Kuwait's Hajj affairs office in Makkah Al Mukarramah. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation and coordination among GCC nations in serving pilgrims. Qatari Hajj affairs office's delegation was led by Deputy Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri, accompanied by several mission officials. The meeting addressed key topics related to the Hajj season, including the exchange of best practices among the GCC missions and discussions on improving performance and enhancing the quality of services provided to pilgrims. Al Misifri said Qatar's participation reflects the directives of the country's wise leadership, which places great importance on facilitating Hajj and supporting collective Gulf efforts to improve service quality. He emphasized the Qatari mission's commitment to maintaining continuous coordination with fellow GCC missions and sharing organisational and on-the-ground experiences to ensure optimal service delivery. Al Misifri extended thanks to Saudi Arabia for its extensive services and facilitation for pilgrims and commended the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for its effective coordination with GCC Hajj offices.

Qatari Hajj Mission meetings held to facilitate smooth Hajj
QNA Doha The Qatari Hajj mission's administrative and technical support units are intensifying their efforts to provide Qatar's pilgrims with all the necessary conditions and facilities they need during the Hajj season, the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has stated. In a statement, the Ministry said that these efforts aim to ensure that pilgrims from Qatar perform their rituals with utmost ease, safety, and spiritual reassurance, under an integrated and well-coordinated institutional umbrella. It added that Qatari Hajj Mission Deputy Head and Hajj and Umrah Affairs Director at the Ministry, Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri is holding daily meetings with members of the advisory committee and heads of the administrative and technical support units in order to go over the latest preparations on the ground, as well as mechanisms to complete the remaining tasks, and ensuring that the highest quality standards are being upheld and that all preparations are within the designated timeframe. The statement quoted Al Misifri as saying that all units are implementing their tasks according to plan and set operational programs, while also constantly updating them based on conditions and needs. It added that daily meetings allow for performance review, coordination, and group action to ensure that the Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah camps are set and ready, in addition to overseeing the arrangements for receiving pilgrims at King Abdulaziz International Airport and the Hajj Terminal, and their transportation to their accommodations in Makkah. The Qatari Hajj Mission Deputy Head praised Saudi authorities' tremendous efforts and their ongoing commitment to serving the guests of Allah and facilitating the performance of Hajj.

Qatari Hajj Mission to depart for holy sites today: Awqaf
QNA Riyadh Qatar's Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, announced on Thursday that the official delegation of the Qatari Hajj Mission will depart for the holy sites today, Friday, 25 Dhul-Qi'dah 1446 AH (May 23), as part of ongoing preparations to ensure comprehensive services and optimal conditions for Qatari pilgrims during this year's Hajj season. Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs and Deputy Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri affirmed that all support units that preceded the official delegation to Saudi Arabia are working around the clock to establish a fully integrated service environment for Qatari pilgrims. The mission, he said, will operate from its headquarters in Al-Naseem district of Makkah, offering specialised and high-quality services through its various support units. These units are also coordinating closely with Qatari Hajj campaigns and the relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia to ensure the highest level of care. The mission includes several specialised units: Religious Guidance and Fatwa, Medical Services, IT Systems, Communications and Support, Inspection and Oversight, Ritual Sites Services, Logistics, Coordination and Airport Affairs, and Public Relations and Media. These units operate in harmony to serve Qatari pilgrims throughout their spiritual journey - from arrival in Makkah to performing the rites in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, and through to the completion of the pilgrimage. Al Misifri emphasised that ensuring full operational readiness before the arrival of the first groups of pilgrims is a top priority, adding that the mission implemented updated action plans and continuously reviews them to adapt to any developments, thereby ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and organisation. He also noted that the support units will oversee performance of Qatari Hajj campaigns and their adherence to approved standards regarding accommodation quality, comfort, care, and safety protocols.
