Trillium Health and Attend Behavior to offer autism support training
GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Services (DMHDDSUS), in collaboration with Trillium Health Resources, has partnered with Attend Behavior to expand family support for Autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities.
This will bring immediate access to family guidance and parent training for families of children with autism spectrum disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD).
This partnership also represents the effort to address the shortage of direct support from professionals in North Carolina while making sure children and their caregivers receive high-quality intervention. Trillium currently serves 38,502 children across the state who are diagnosed with behavioral health conditions, Autism, and/or I/DD.
'Services like Attend's virtual family guidance are critical to improving access to care across North Carolina,' Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Trillium, Cindy Ehlers said. 'We know families often face long wait times for diagnosis and treatment. Attend meets families where they are, providing practical tools, therapeutic guidance, and a pathway to hope and progress. We're excited to expand this support to families across our network.'
Attend Behavior will offer eligible families:
A library of guided caregiver lessons and tools rooted in best practices from Applied Behavior Analysis and other behavioral science frameworks.
Support from trained support specialists.
Real-time progress tracking, check-ins, and coaching to support consistent learning and skill development at home.
A private online community of caregivers facing similar challenges.
Attend makes sure that families will start receiving support immediately—whether they are waiting for a diagnosis, formal services, or navigating day-to-day behavioral challenges.
'At Attend Behavior, we believe that empowering caregivers is the most powerful way to create meaningful, lasting change for children with behavioral challenges. We are proud to partner with Trillium and DMHDDSUS to bring accessible, evidence-based support directly into homes—transforming waiting time into learning time, and uncertainty into action,' Chief Product Officer, Attend Behavior, Alan Fullbright said.
