Alappuzha Gymkhana OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Naslen and Lukman Avaran's Malayalam film online

Alappuzha Gymkhana OTT Release Date: Naslen and Lukman Avaran, alongside a massive ensemble, recently headlined a Malayalam film which arrived in theatres on 10th April this year. This Vishnu Vijay musical earned a total of Rs 70.6 crore, making it a moderate success at the box office. For the OTT lovers, Alappuzha Gymkhana is ready to stream on SonyLIV starting June 5, 2025. Alappuzha Gymkhana's cast and crew The movie is directed and produced by Khalid Rahman, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Sreeni Saseendran and the dialogues by Ratheesh Ravi. Other than Nalsen and Lukman, Alappuzha Gymkhana also stars Ganapathi, Sandeep Pradeep, Franco Francis, Habish "Baby Jean" Rahman, Shiva Hariharan, Anagha Maya Ravi, Viswajith, Aarab, Shon Joy, Karthik, Nanda Nishanth, Noila Francy, Shine Tom Chacko, Kottayam Nazeer, Abu Salim, Assim Jamal, Swathi Das Prabhu, Adhri Joe and Alex Paul among others. Alappuzha Gymkhana's plot overview In Alappuzha Gymkhana, Jojo Johnson and his group of carefree college friends decide to take up boxing, not out of passion, but to exploit the sports quota for college admissions. They join a rundown gym in Alappuzha and begin training under Antony Joshua, a once-celebrated boxer turned strict coach. Initially treating it as a joke, the boys struggle with the discipline and intensity required. As training continues, what started as a shortcut becomes a transformative experience. Jojo, in particular, begins to take boxing seriously, influenced by Joshua's tough mentorship. The group's bond deepens, and each member starts confronting personal insecurities. Instead of chasing medals, they discover meaning, friendship, and self-worth through the sport. Alappuzha Gymkhana's review The Times of India rated the movie 3.5 out of 5 and a part of their review read, 'Khalid Rahman, known for the vibrant chaos of Thallumaala, this time trades in the colourful spectacle for a more grounded narrative, a coming-of-age tale wrapped in sweat, struggle, and the salt-soaked air of Alappuzha. Technically, the film is a treat. Alappuzha Jimkhana may not offer the highs of Thallumaala, nor does it aim to. More than a sports drama, it's a ringside seat to youth, chaos, and coming of age. Messy, minimal, but meaningful.'
