One killed in two-car crash in Alcorn County
NEW ALBANY – A two-car collision Wednesday night claimed the life of a Tate County man.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Highway 72 in Alcorn County just after 10 p.m. on June 11.
The preliminary investigation shows Albert Kayden O'Neal, 18, of Sarah, was traveling west on Highway 72 when the 2010 Ford Fusion he was driving collided with a 2021 GMC Terrain driven by Amanda E. Bain, 31, of Walnut, who was traveling the opposite direction.
O'Neal received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Bain suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis.
This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
