Djokovic upset by Tabilo in the 2nd round at Monte Carlo. Alcaraz advances
MONACO — Novak Djokovic's latest bid to win a 100th career title ended in another upset defeat to a familiar face. Alejandro Tabilo, who handed the 24-time Grand Slam champion a surprising loss at the Italian Open last year , beat Djokovic 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday in the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters.

Wawrinka suffers 1st-round exit at Monte Carlo masters
Paris - Saba: Swiss veteran Stan Wawrinka was knocked out of the Monte Carlo Open, an ATP Masters 1000 event, after losing his first-round match to Chilean Alejandro Tabilo in straight sets, 1-6, 7-5, 7-5, on Monday on the clay courts. Alejandro Tabilo now advances to a challenging second-round encounter against Serbian Novak Djokovic, the world No. 1 and the tournament's top seed. In other first-round matches: Frenchman Gaël Monfils overcame Hungarian Fabian Marozán with a score of 4-6, 6-1, 6-1. Monfils will face Russian Andrey Rublev in the second round. American Marcos Giron defeated Canadian Denis Shapovalov 6-3, 7-6(5). Giron will proceed to the second round to play against Britain's Jack Draper. Czech Jiří Lehečka defeated American Sebastian Korda 6-3, 7-6(7). Djokovic gets chance to avenge loss to Tabilo in Monte Carlo Masters meeting
MONACO — Novak Djokovic will get the chance to avenge one of the more surprising losses of his career . The 24-time Grand Slam champion will face 32nd-ranked Alejandro Tabilo in his opening match of the Monte Carlo Masters. Tabilo rallied past 2014 champion Stan Wawrinka 1-6, 7-5, 7-5 in the first round Monday to set up the second-round rematch with Djokovic, who he beat at the Italian Open last year.
