18-year-old driver dead after single-car crash in Clifton
CLIFTON, Va. (DC News Now) — Police have identified a person who died after a car crashed into a tree in Clifton on Thursday afternoon.
The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said that around 3:25 p.m., its officers responded to the 11000 block of Chapel Road for the crash.
A 2005 Toyota Highlander had left the road and hit a tree.
The driver, 18-year-old Alexander Aiden Richmond of Clifton, died there.

FCPD said that detectives do not believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash. It is still investigating whether or not speed contributed.
