Paris Hilton calls her new skin care serum the 'Benjamin Button effect' in a bottle
Paris Hilton has long been associated with iconic fragrances and beauty moments, but her latest venture takes that a step further -- straight into your skin care cabinet. Paris Hilton on how motherhood changed her life, celebrating Pride Month and more Hilton's new skin care line, Parívie, which she says was designed with multitasking in mind, addresses new issues, like deep lines on the neck and face as a result of constant screen time. "I've loved skin care since I was a little girl," Hilton told "Good Morning America." "My mom taught me how to care for my skin, and it became something really special." "I've tried everything from the world's top facialists to the best global products. But I wanted to create a system that actually works -- formulas from the ground up with real results," she added. Hilton, a mom of two, and her co-founder, Alexandra Marsh, said they spent three years creating Parívie, and did so with busy people, particularly moms, in mind. A dermatologist's guide to choosing foundation for mature skin "We wanted to simplify that experience with products that work harder and smarter," Marsh added. "Our busy lifestyle is honestly where the line started -- when we met with our chemists we said, 'This is the thing we need to solve.'" For a busy mom on the go who is looking for one product to add to their routine, Hilton and Marsh both recommended the line's That's Tight Plumping Vitality Serum. Hilton calls it "the ultimate multitasker," complete with a peptide complex the line dubbed "inPHinite Youth Technology." "It's like the Benjamin Button effect," Hilton said with a laugh. Hilton claims it lifts, tightens and boosts the performance of every other product you pair it with. Paris Hilton welcomes 1st child with husband Carter Reum Beyond serums, the co-founders said they swear by the brand's That's Firm Contouring Neck Treatment, which is said to tackle the tech-driven realities of modern life and is designed to combat "tech neck." Paris Hilton Brings ‘Infinite Youth Technology' To New Skincare Line
Paris Hilton and Alexandra Marsh pose in front of Parívie skincare brand Photo courtesy of 11:11 Beauty Paris Hilton has officially added skincare founder to her mile-high resume. The multifaceted mogul launched Parivie skincare on May 7, introducing fans to a six-piece collection that includes a contouring neck treatment (That's Firm—$72) and an overnight repair crème (That's Restored—$85). She first teased the collection—a partnership with beauty giant Guthy-Renker, and industry veteran Alexandra Marsh—in a lengthy Instagram post on March 27. 'I love making products, as you can tell, and skincare is something I've always been obsessed with,' she said at her Beverly Hills estate, during a one-on-one interview leading up to the launch. 'I just really wanted to create a line not only for myself, but to share all my beauty secrets with the world, since my fans have been asking me about my skin for so many years. Now they can glow and feel as confident as possible in their skin.' Among those secrets? That of 'infinite youth,' a concept that an arguably timeless Hilton can speak on confidently. Properly stylized in her line as 'inPHinite Youth Technology,' the mom of two especially raves about the That's Tight Plumping Vitality Serum, which includes the proprietary formula. 'This is like the icon of all the products,' she boasted, about her product with the highest price point ($125). 'What I love about this is you feel the tightening right when you put it on, and it smooths any lines. It makes your skin firm, beautiful, and I'm obsessed with it. It's so good.' Paris Hilton poses with a serum from her Parívie skincare line Photo courtesy of 11:11 Beauty Parivie skincare, which has been in development for more than two years, is an extension of Hilton's public persona. From the product name spinoffs of her signature catchphrase, 'That's hot,' to the vibrant pink packaging, it's clear the entrepreneur had her hands in the project. 'She's really been part of every step of the process from even that first meeting,' Marsh explained during the chat at Hilton's home—which preceded a product trial experience in the star's onsite Sliving Spa. 'I remember we were here at this table, and there were hundreds of products and it was just like, what do you like? What do you not like? What are the textures that you're into? So we really started at that level and then went to, okay, what problem are we trying to solve in the marketplace as well? There's stress, there's lack of sleep. There's blue light, there's technology that we're just being inundated with. What do we need to do to help solve that?' Hilton, who has seen massive success with fragrance (she just launched her 30th perfume), is the latest of many celebrities to launch a skincare or makeup line. This decision has been considered risky in such a saturated space. But the star says she isn't concerned. 'With most of these celebrity lines, it's just them white-labeling,' she explained. 'Everyone's using basically the same formulas and just repackaging them and slapping their name on it. But that was something I did not want to do. I really wanted to build each product. Sometimes we went back and forth 20 or 30 different times for each one of those products. I see so many brands out there and they don't even have the right ingredients. A lot of their products don't work.' Of utmost importance to the former Simple Life star was 'something that would be preventative, but also repair people's skin and their skin barrier,' she said. 'I wanted something backed by science, but that's also really beautiful, Instagrammable and looks amazing on the shelf to show off.' While Hilton swears Parivie skincare is the only thing she currently puts on her face (besides SPF), there's also one thing she commits to that helps keep her skin in age-defying condition. 'I really focus on the importance of staying out of the sun,' she said. 'And getting spray tans instead of suntans.'
