Rock Island Police investigate death of woman in motel room
Rock Island Police are investigating after a 19-year-old woman was found dead in a motel room.
A news release from the Rock Island Police Department says officers were dispatched to the American Motor Inn, 4300 11th Street, for a check welfare on Saturday, April 5 at about 11:11 a.m. When they arrived, officers found a dead woman inside a motel room.
The Rock Island County Coroner's Office has identified the woman as 19-year old Alexis J. Roelandt. An autopsy was completed on Tuesday, April 8 and the death has been ruled as a homicide.
