Hedge Fund Verition Hires Ex-HSBC Trader for Latin America Team
Multistrategy hedge fund Verition Fund Management has hired Alfredo Alarcon, a former trader at HSBC Holdings Plc, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Alarcon started on Monday as part of a team focused on Latin America, said the person, who requested anonymity to discuss private details. At HSBC, where he worked for more than a decade, Alarcon traded mostly Mexican local markets.
