Bahrain has launched a national initiative to prepare a new generation of child rights ambassadors, marking a shift in how young people are engaged in human rights education and policy development.
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) unveiled the 'Influential Child Rights Leaders' programme under the slogan 'You Have the Right' as part of its 2024–2025 strategy.
Organised in collaboration with FranklinCovey Education – Middle East, the Smile Initiative, and Al-Kooheji Charity Foundation, the programme positions children as key participants in shaping the future of rights-based dialogue.
Senior officials including Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Dirazi, Chairman of the NIHR, and Dr Houria Al-Dairy, Commissioner for Child Rights, alongside board members, experts, and young members of the Friends of the Commissioner for Child Rights team attended the event.
