Saudi Arabia executes citizen for terrorism, training militants, and financing attacks
Saudi authorities have executed a citizen convicted of multiple terrorism-related offences. According to official statements, Ali bin Musa bin Ali Al Zahrani joined a terrorist organisation abroad, pledged allegiance to its leader, and travelled illegally to participate in combat operations.
Al Zahrani was further accused of carrying out operational missions in support of the group's criminal agenda, training others in combat and weapons use, and financing terrorist activities within the Kingdom after returning home.
Saudi authorities apprehended the individual, and subsequent investigations led to formal charges for the crimes committed. He was referred to the competent court, where the ruling was issued against him. The court sentenced him to death as a discretionary punishment, and the sentence was carried out accordingly.
The ruling became final after being approved by his authority, and a royal order was issued to implement what was decided by Sharia. The death sentence was carried out as a discretionary punishment against Ali bin Musa bin Ali Al-Zahrani, a Saudi national, on Wednesday, April 9, in the Qassim region.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to upholding security, delivering justice, and enforcing the provisions of Islamic Sharia against anyone who threatens public safety or violates the right to life and security. The Ministry also warned anyone considering such acts, stating that they will face the full force of the law.
