Baghdad - INA Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani affirmed on Friday that the rule of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), is a testament to all the meanings of reform. During a speech he delivered on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Sudani said: "Fourteen centuries ago, during these days of the holy month of Ramadan, the entire world was witnessing a momentous event and a great calamity." He added, "Imam Ali (peace be upon him) departed this world physically, but his presence continues, with his legacy embodying all the sublime values ​​and virtuous meanings." Al-Sudani explained that "(I have won, by the Lord of the Kaaba) is not an abstract emotional phrase, but rather an ethical approach based on the idea of ​​human integration in the equal choices of life and death." He explained that "the Imam's worldly integration is not separate from his afterlife, which enlightens us today through the abundance of his presence in word and deed." He emphasized that "the image of Imam Ali peace be upon him, as a ruler never departed from the levels of integration, even in the most difficult moments and trials that confront human life." He noted that "in the wars he fought out of necessity, his pure humanity took precedence over his sword." The Prime Minister explained that "the Commander of the Faithful's sublime humanity was embodied when he recommended the treatment of prisoners, made excuses so that those who had sinned might come to their senses, and when he recommended the care of his killer." He emphasized that "Imam Ali's (peace be upon him) conduct in governance embodies every meaning of righteousness and concern for his subjects," explaining that "everyone was equal in his rule, with no one preceding another except by virtue, cleanliness of hand, and purity of soul. In doing so, he established a constitution for the nation and the ruler." He pointed out that "the success of a ruler does not depend solely on his personal efforts, but rather on the assistance of everyone, who are honest, careful with the state's wealth, and abstain from greed." He explained that "the Imam (peace be upon him) requires everyone to consider the supreme interest of the nation and the state."
