The logistics park will include a 7,000-square-meter warehouse for spare parts storage and a logistics area capable of accommodating more than 13,000 vehicles and trucks. The initiative is expected to enhance the competitive advantage and regional standing of King Abdulaziz Port as a logistics hub, providing specialised logistics services, increasing private sector contributions to economic development, and promoting economic diversification.

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has signed an agreement with Alissa Universal Motors to establish a logistics park at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Set to span over an area of 382,000 square meters, the project will feature an investment of up to SAR300 million. Importantly, the park will be basically designed to re-import and export vehicles and spare parts. The agreement was signed by Mawani's Acting President, Mazen bin Ahmed Al-Turki, and Managing Director of Abdullatif Alissa Group Holding Abdullah Abdulmohsen Alissa. As part of the authority's initiatives to fulfill the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, the park will have great significance in logistics operations. To this end, the park will involve a 7,000-square-meter warehouse for spare parts storage, along with a logistics area prepared for accommodating over 13,000 vehicles and trucks. Therefore, it will play a pivotal role in boosting the competitive advantage of the port and elevating its position in the global rankings.
