Primetime 585 Shining Star: Aimee Turner
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — News 8's Primetime 585 Shining Star features students who brighten their community in academics and sports. Greece Arcadia senior, Aimee Turner, does just that as an awarded three-sport athlete.
Turner is active all year round, playing volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and flag football in the spring.
Turner led her flag football team to the semifinals in their first season last year. As their 2025 team captain, the Arcadia team is currently undefeated. In their most recent win, she scored 3 touchdowns as they beat their opponent by 19 points.
She is known as the first girl to earn a basketball sectional MVP and not be the winning team in the sectional final. She averages 17 points per game with 10 rebounds and 4 steals per game and has previously won the All-League 1st Team Award.
In volleyball, she has also won All-League awards for both honorable mention and 1st Team.
Turner has been recognized as a Black Scholar and received the Greece Arcadia High School Innovative Artist award.
