Sabrina Carpenter's fans stunned as they discover she has a very famous aunt
Sabrina Carpenter fabs were gobsmacked upon discovering the singer's celebrity relative.
The 26-year-old 'Espresso' songstress, who has been dazzling the pop scene with her sharp lyrics and eye-catching performances, isn't the only star in her family.
The singer's aunt is the legendary Nancy Cartwright, famed for voicing to Bart Simpson on 'The Simpsons'.
The 67-year-old voice actress has brought the iconic mischief-maker Bart to life for over three decades and also voices characters like Maggie Simpson, Ralph Wiggum, Todd Flanders, and Nelson Muntz.
Not to mention, Nancy is the voice behind Chuckie Finster from 'Rugrats' and its sequel series 'All Grown Up!'.
Cartwright's also had roles in 'Alvin and the Chipmunks', 'Pound Puppies', 'Fantastic Max', 'Goof Troop', 'Crashbox', and 'Betsy's Kindergarten Adventure'.
David Carpenter, Sabrina's dad, is Nancy's step-brother, a fact that some of Sabrina's followers have only recently stumbled upon, reports the Mirror.
Social media was abuzz with the revelation, with one user exclaiming on X, previously known as Twitter: "Interesting side note for those who don't know. Sabrina Carpenter's Aunt is Nancy Cartwright... Aka Bart Simpson."
Responses varied from "I did not know that!" to utter astonishment with comments like: "Just found out that the voice of Bart Simpson (Nancy Cartwright) is not only a Scientologist but also Sabrina Carpenter's aunt? ?" and "How the f*** am I just finding out Sabrina Carpenter is Nancy Cartwright's niece?" Sabrina herself has expressed her affection for her aunt in the past.
During a chat with Capital FM, she revealed: "My whole life, that was just like the coolest thing in the world to me. I wasn't even allowed to watch the show until I was a little bit older!".
"The woman is a woman of many talents, not just Bart. She always blows me away."
She fondly remembered how Nancy would use the iconic voice during family dinners at restaurants.
Sabrina shared how during meals, Nancy would occasionally break into Bart's voice, saying: "When we were in a restaurant, she didn't do it all the time, but there were a couple of times when we couldn't get a table and she'd be like, 'Hey, man, I'm Bart Simpson. What the hell's going on?'" when struggling to get a table.
Nancy once spoke fondly of having Sabrina as her niece, saying: "Yeah, absolutely. Isn't that amazing when you find out that somebody that maybe..
"You've known me for a little while doing this little 10 year old boy for, like, 35 some years. And for some of you guys, way less than that. And you find out I'm related to this, like, superstar!".
