Counselling for admissions begins at KL University
Around 540 seats were filled on the first day of the counselling process for admission to engineering courses at KL (Deemed to be) University's Vijayawada and Hyderabad campuses on Thursday.
The university's Pro Vice-Chancellor K. Rajasekhara Rao and others granted admission to Alla Venkata Sai Akhil, who secured the third rank in the engineering entrance examination conducted by the university at the national level. In the sports category, they granted admission to Jignesh, with a 50% fee concession in the CSE department.
A large number of students under SC, ST, and OBC quotas attended the counselling.
Speaking on this occasion, Admissions Director J. Srinivasa Rao said the counselling would be held till May 11, and that students who secured ranks in the KL Engineering Entrance Examination as well as merit students under the open category could attend the counselling. Students who secured the best percentile in JEE could also get admissions through merit scholarships, he added.
