Final Trailer for M3GAN 2.0 Brings Robot Action, Carnage, and a Wild New Story Element — GeekTyrant
'It's this bitch vs. that bitch.' Universal Pictures has released the final trailer Blumhouse's M3GAN 2.0 , and it feature movie footage of brutal robot action and murderous carnage. The trailer also reveals a new wrinkle in the story that sees M3GAN's creator Gemma getting a neuralink implant that gives M3GAN actess to her brain to help her fight better. So you will see Gemma in full on kickass fight mode. This Terminator 2 -inspired film really leans into the ridiculous, so much so that it seems like the filmmakers are really trying hard to force this sequel to be another big hit. And, you know what? It might work. The film takes place two years after M3GAN , 'a marvel of artificial intelligence, went rogue and embarked on a murderous (and impeccably choreographed) rampage and was subsequently destroyed, M3GAN's creator Gemma (Allison Williams) has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of A.I. Meanwhile, Gemma's niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now 14, has become a teenager, rebelling against Gemma's overprotective rules. 'Unbeknownst to them, the underlying tech for M3GAN has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade weapon known as Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno), the ultimate killer infiltration spy. But as Amelia's self-awareness increases, she becomes decidedly less interested in taking orders from humans. Or in keeping them around. 'With the future of human existence on the line, Gemma realizes that the only option is to resurrect M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) and give her a few upgrades, making her faster, stronger, and more lethal. As their paths collide, the original A.I bitch is about to meet her match.' James Wan is producing the film for Atomic Monster, Jason Blum for Blumhouse and Gerard Johnstoneis back to direct the next wild chapter of A.I. robot mayhem. Akela Cooper ( Malignant, M3GAN ) returned to write the script. The upcoming horror sequel co-stars returning cast members Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps as Gemma's loyal tech teammates, Cole and Tess, and new characters played by Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp and Jemaine Clement. M3GAN 2.0 will be released in theaters on June 27, 2025.

The New ‘M3GAN 2.0' Trailer Is Hilariously Over the Top and We Can't Wait
Clearly, a movie about a killer robot who looks like a young child has to have a sense of humor about it. Without that, it's hard to take the character seriously. It's a big part of why, back in 2022, M3GAN became a breakout hit. It was gory and thrilling, but also very self-aware and completely hilarious. Now, for its sequel, it's taking all of that and dialing it way, way up, where the lines between humor and horror are basically completely gone. In other words, it looks amazing. The latest trailer for M3GAN 2.0 is here ahead of its release June 27, and it's filled with new footage. New action scenes, new dialogue scenes, and M3GAN fully embracing that she is willing to kill any and everyone to protect the now-teenage Cady (Violet McGraw). Check this out. We thought Ahsoka star Ivanna Sakhno joining as the more advanced and evil killer robot, Amelia, was what we were looking forward to most in M3GAN 2.0, and yet, now after this new trailer, that's up for debate. M3GAN helping her creator Gemma (Allison Williams) get in on the action has rapidly risen up the list as has their relationship. We love the scene here where Gemma is trying to process that M3GAN is willing to help them fight Amelia now, and how M3GAN has to convince Gemma that actually, it's okay if she murders a whole lot of people along the way. The danger with this movie, however, is just how campy is it going to get? There's probably a line somewhere where the gore and horror can get completely overtaken by the jokes, dancing, and Britney Spears needle drops. Probably. With any luck M3GAN 2.0 will find that line but not cross it. Just gently dance up to it in its pink armor and Geordi La Forge sunglasses. Directed by Gerard Johnstone, M3GAN 2.0 opens June 27.

Northeast battered by winter storm bringing slush and snow causing havoc for commuters
A dangerous winter storm is bearing down on the Northeast and Midwest Thursday morning, bringing hazardous travel conditions and slippery roads. By early in the morning, Central Park in New York City had already seen a half an inch of snow and winter weather advisories were in place across New York. Many schools were delayed or closed during the storm across the tri-state area. 'We urge all New Yorkers to continue to exercise caution when traveling,' the New York City Public School District said in a social media post. More than 126 million people are impacted by the inclement weather, which stretches from the Great Lakes to the northern mid-Atlantic regions. The storms have caused chaos for travelers in countless cities including Philadelphia, Boston and Detroit. 'No no no and NOOOOO, I've had enough,' West Virginia resident Allison Williams posted on Facebook. The feeling was shared by many across social media who shared what they saw in their hometowns. 'Can't stand snow. My son does snow removal so I'm happy for him. Be careful folks. Didn't see ice in the driveway and well ..I'm sore ! Haha,' Massachusetts resident Debbi McCormack shared on Facebook. 'Very slick here…I even put down ice melt ahead of time, but the sleet was very thick so the ice melt did not help!' Pennsylvania resident Karen Wolf shared on social media. Communities across the U.S. were dealing with the winter storm that has moved west throughout the week. Forecasters in Chicago said that the storm could bring briefly heavy snow of up to three inches in just a few hours Thursday morning. 'Snow then changes to sleet/light freezing rain with diminishing intensity. Temperatures remain near or below freezing through Thursday afternoon,' it wrote. Crashes were reported in Des Moines, Iowa, according to WHO 13. Between two to five inches of snow are anticipated in much of New England, and up to half an inch of ice was possible across parts of Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. More than 54,000 customers are without power in the Mountain State, where water rescues were underway due to heavy flooding around the western hub of Charlotte. Outages also extended to Pennsylvania, where just nearly 1,800 customers were affected, according to outage tracker In Philadelphia, dozens of flights were canceled, with tracker FlightAware reporting more had been impacted in Boston and New York. "The roads are not great — snow-covered, packed down. It is certainly slippery, and that is going to be the case as we go through the afternoon," WCVB Chief Meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon said. While the storm is expected to progress eastward on Thursday, the eastern U.S. won't see much a break. Another storm is forecast to follow by the weekend with similar impacts, according to AccuWeather. It will shift across the Plains and Ohio Valley through Friday night, spreading rain, ice, and snow. "The storm this weekend is just the next in a series of storms that is part of the pattern change that began late last week," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Joe Lundberg said.
