Gaddar Telangana Film Awards from 2014 to 2023 announced

The Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) announced the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards for best picture and six special awards, for the period between June 2014 to December 2023, on Friday (May 30, 2025). TFDC managing director S. Harish and chairman V. Venkata Ramana Reddy (Dil Raju) addressed the media and said the awards – first, second and third for 10 years, and the special awards – were picked by a jury chaired by actor-producer-businessman Murali Mohan. The year-wise awards in the order of ranking are: 2014 - Run Raja Run, Paathshaala, Alludu Seenu 2015 – Rudrama Devi, Kanche, Srimanthudu 2016 – Shathamanam Bhavati, Pelli Choopulu, Janata Garage 2017 – Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, Fidaa, Ghazi 2018 – Mahanati, Rangasthalam, C/o Kancharapalem 2019 - Maharshi, Jersey, Mallesham 2020- Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, Colour Photo, Middle Class Melodies 2021- RRR, Akhanda, Uppena 2022- Seetharamam, Karthikeya 2, Major 2023 – Balagam, Hanuman, Bhagavanth Kesari The jury committee report on special awards recommended the awards as: NTR National Film Award (Artiste)– Nandamuri Balakrishna Paidi Jairaj Film Award (Indian film personality)– Mani Rathnam BN Reddy Film (Telugu Film Director) – B. Sukumar Nagireddy & Chakrapani Film Award (Telugu film producer) – Atluri Purna Chandra Rao Kantha Rao Film Award (Telugu Artiste) – Vijay Devarakonda Raghupathi Venkaiah Award (other than film artiste Telugu) - Yandamuri Veerendranath The decade's awards will be presented along with the 2024 awards in the ceremony slated to be held on June 14.

Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas faces legal heat for traffic rules violation and misbehavior towards police

Popular Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas was booked by Hyderabad police on May 15, 2025. The actor had apparently violated a traffic rule in Jubilee Hills and was said to have behaved rudely to a police officer. As per a report by News18, the actor was on his way to the Journalists Colony in Jubilee Hills. At the crossroads, Sai is said to have taken the wrong direction in his car instead of making a U-turn. Moreover, when the traffic violation happened and a police constable asked him to stop, the actor was said to have moved ahead, disregarding the request. This led the policeman to stand in front of the car and ask him to adhere to the rules. This apparently led the actor to misbehave and be rude towards the uniformed personnel. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Motor Vehicle (MV) Act and Bharat Nyaya Sanhitha (BNS) for misbehaving with police and violating traffic rules. For those unaware, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is a Telugu actor and the son of popular producer Bellamkonda Suresh. After completing an acting course at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, USA, and Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai, the actor made his debut back in 2014 with the movie Alludu Seenu alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. With his debut being a successful venture, the actor went on to play Speedunnodu, Jaya Janaki Nayaka, Kavacham, and more. After several appearances at the Telugu cinema, the actor even made his foray into Hindi films with Chatrapathi. The movie was the Hindi adaptation of the Prabhas -starrer movie of the same name, which was originally helmed by SS Rajamouli. Coming to Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas' work front, the actor is next set to appear in the film Bhairavam. He also has ventures like Tyson Naidu, Haindava, and more in his lineup.

Telugu actor Bellamkonda Srinivas booked for rash driving in Hyderabad

A case was registered against Telugu actor Bellamkonda Srinivas for allegedly driving his car rashly, on the wrong side of a road here and also disobeying a traffic policeman's instructions. Srinivas allegedly drove the car the wrong route at the Journalists' colony junction in Jubilee Hills here on May 13 and did not adhere to instructions of a traffic constable on duty to take a U-turn, police said. The actor also allegedly drove the car towards the traffic cop rashly. Bellamkonda Srinivas, who has starred in films including Alludu Seenu, Jaya Janaki Nayaka and Speedunnodu, appeared before police for counselling after he was served a notice and the vehicle was seized, they added.
