Ally Lewber accuses Lisa Vanderpump of 'manipulating' her to stay with James Kennedy after domestic violence arrest

Ally Lewber is calling out Lisa Vanderpump for 'manipulating' her in the wake of her domestic violence incident with ex-boyfriend James Kennedy last year. The confrontation ended with 33-year-old Kennedy being arrested and later released on $20,000 bail. Appearing on Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea show this week, 29-year-old Lewber said after the ordeal she received a phone call from Vanderpump, 64, during which the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum tried to convince Ally not to break up with James. 'I'm very impressionable. I trust [Lisa]. I'm like, "You're really smart." … I trust her for the most part,' Ally explained of valuing the restaurateur's advice. She continued, 'She is a Virgo. She's very articulate. She's so well-spoken. Like, it's frickin' Lisa Vanderpump. So when she calls you and she's making you laugh but also kind of making sense, I'm like, 'Is she right? Did I make a wrong choice?'' Ally went on to say that after the call with Lisa she sought advice from former Vanderpump Rules co-star Scheana Shay. She shared, 'I called Scheana after, and she was like, "No, you were just manipulated, and also that was really wrong of her to do." And I was like, "OK, yeah, you're right." I had to literally sit back and [ask], "What?"' After recounting the painful experience, the Bravo personality insisted that she wants the best for her ex-boyfriend, and so does Lisa. 'I think she genuinely has so much love for James, and that's why I felt for her — because I get it. I don't want him to suffer either,' she stated. And she clarified: 'I will say with [Vanderpump being a] Virgo and the helping of it all, I really do think Lisa genuinely wants to help as best as she can.' Kennedy's arrest came amid an argument with his then-live-in girlfriend Ally on December 10, 2024. Law enforcement received a call about an argument between a man and a woman, and allegedly a witness saw James grabbing the woman, though no visible injuries were found. While Scheana kept quiet initially, she broke her silence on the matter in late December via her Scheananigans podcast. 'I was respecting Ally's privacy — as she requested,' Scheana explained at the time. 'So I wasn't going to say anything on the podcast, but I now see how that's coming off by staying silent. So I have spoken to Ally. I check in with her often. I always have. But I know it seems like if I stay silent, you all somehow think I support his behavior, which I absolutely do not,' she clarified.' Mentioning Kennedy's ex-girlfriend Raquel Leviss, she noted, 'Obviously, I was very close with Raquel for years. And while she always told me that James was never physically abusive, as we all know, abuse isn't limited to just physical. 'And ultimately it led to her exiting that relationship. I had a lot of empathy for her… I wanted to do anything I could to help and give her a safe space.' She continued, 'I do hope that James views this as a rock bottom moment and is serious about just committing to a healing plan.'
