Police appeal for information after 30-year-old biker dies in crash with Land Rover
The incident took place on the B790 Houston Road in Renfrewshire on Sunday night. Police are appealing for information following a fatal crash on a Renfrewshire road last night. The collision involving a KTM 790 Duke motorcycle and a Land Rover Discovery took place around 6.35pm on the B790 Houston Road in Johnstone. Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the Land Rover were not injured. Sergeant Ally Wright from Police Scotland said: 'Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died. 'We are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances and would like to thank all the motorists who remained at the scene to speak with officers. 'We would ask anyone who witnessed the collision and has yet to speak with police, to please come forward. Anyone with relevant dash-cam footage is also asked to contact us.' Biker killed in horror crash with Land Rover on Renfrewshire road
Police have launched enquiries into the incident that happened on Saturday, May 18. A man has died following a collision between a motorbike and a car in Renfrewshire. The 30-year-old motorcyclist was riding on the B790 Houston Road, near the village of Houston, when tragedy struck at around 6.35pm on Sunday, May 18. His KTM 790 Duke motorbike collided with a Land Rover Discovery. Police enquiries are ongoing to confirm the circumstances surrounding the incident. Emergency services were called, but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the car were not injured. In an unrelated incident, another motorcyclist is said to be "fighting for his life" after a serious crash in the Highlands on Saturday, May 17. The 67-year-old male was rushed to hospital after a collision on the A862 Inverness to Ardullie road, involving a black Mazda CX5 car and two Yamaha MT07 motorcycles. Medical staff at Raigmore Hospital where the 67-year-old man was taken have described his condition as "critical". The driver of the car and the other motorcyclist were uninjured. However, the 47-year-old car driver was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries are ongoing.
