The Chase viewers were in stitches after spotting a comical connection between the names of the latest contestants.
Bradley Walsh introduced Alvin, Simone, Theo and Dave to the ITV quiz show, where they faced off against Shaun Wallace, also known as The Dark Destroyer.
Eagle-eyed fans took to social media to point out the "Chipmunks reference", with one viewer exclaiming: "Are they all Chipmunks?" Others chimed in on Twitter: "It's the Chipmunks. Dave, and then Alvin, Simon, Theodore!"
Another fan commented: "Alvin, Simone and Theo on The Chase. They knew what they were doing there right? Please tell me they did."
Shaun didn't miss the chance to mention the link, quipping: "It's the cast of Alvin and the Chipmunks." Bradley confessed: "I'm sorry I've never seen that, that was completely lost on me."
The 2007 hit movie 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' follows the adventures of three singing chipmunks named Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. They are managed by their human friend Dave Seville, as they try to make it big in the music world, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Fans couldn't help but giggle at the coincidence of having contestants named Alvin, Simone, Theo and Dave compete on The Chase, reminiscent of the beloved film characters. This isn't the first instance of The Chase producers selecting contestants with matching monikers.
One episode saw Tony, Steve, Thor and Natasha team up, with fans at home quickly noticing the Avengers theme in their names, prompting even The Menace to crack a joke.
Earlier in the year, viewers had a laugh when they spotted a "cheesy" link between contestants' names: Gordon, Ola, Leslie and Dale appeared on the ITV quiz show, with 'Gordon Ola' sounding like Gorgonzola and 'Leslie Dale' reminiscent of Wensleydale, much to the amusement of fans.
Back to his regular quizzing role, Shaun faced off against Northumberland's Dave. The contestant kicked off strong, racking up £7,000 in the Cash Builder and securing his place in the final chase.

Theo was keen to match Dave's success but, after a nail-biting round of quick-fire questions, he was caught by The Dark Destroyer, ending his run on the show.
Simone, who had travelled all the way from the USA for the show, put on a solid performance but chose to play it safe, adding just £1,000 to the team's pot.
Alvin was the last hopeful aiming for a spot in the final, yet he too was outpaced by The Chaser.
In the final showdown, Simone and Dave managed to score 11 points, but it wasn't enough to triumph over The Dark Destroyer. They were caught with 44 seconds remaining and left with nothing.
