Doja Cat unrecognisable as she risks wardrobe malfunction at concert: ‘Don't clock my implant'

American rapper Doja Cat may be feline by name, but by nature she is the ultimate chameleon. The Grammy winner was virtually unrecognisable over the weekend when she walked the red carpet at iHeartRadio's Wango Tango event in Huntington Beach, California, while narrowly avoiding a wardrobe malfunction. In recent months, the 29-year-old – real name Amala Dlamini – had been rocking a shorter hairdo featuring dark roots and bleached tips. But for the annual day-long concert hosted by LA radio station KIIS-FM, Doja transformed into a bombshell complete with cascading, long blonde hair. Her choice of ensemble was equally loud, stepping out in a sequined, aqua-coloured mini-dress, fishnet stockings and silver buckled heels. The singer drew further attention to her plunging neckline with her sparkly choker and drop earrings. Later that evening, Doja took to the stage to perform, entertaining the crowd with her hits including Say So, Get Into It (Yuh) and Lose My Mind. Despite wowing fans with her stunning appearance and performance, Doja was worried that her 'contracted implant' was on display given her dress barely covered her assets. 'don't clock my contracted implant it's all i ask,' she later tweeted to her 5.7 million followers on X. 'tia and tamera were sitting pretty!' one fan joked, while another commented, 'They look amazing babes.' 'We were too mesmerised by the show to notice,' yet another fan reassured the rapper. Djoa's latest transformation was a far cry from the bold look she rocked at the Met Gala last week. Walking on the famous Metropolitan Museum of Art steps in New York, the rapper oozed feline energy in a ocelot-print, pinstriped bodysuit from Marc Jacobs complete with crystals and OTT shoulder pads. The rapper nailed the 'Tailored for You' dress code for the theme 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style' – and she was surprised at how comfortable she felt. 'I've never worn anything with such a special silhouette,' Doja Cat told Vogue on the blue carpet.

Doja Cat suffers plastic surgery disaster as she begs fans not to notice

Doja Cat revealing outfit on Saturday at iHeartRadio's Wango Tango showcased a devastating plastic surgery mishap — and it was the performer herself who pointed out the issue. Later on Saturday evening, the 29-year-old rapper and singer posted on X: 'don't clock my contracted implant it's all i ask.' Despite that issue, Doja (born Amala Dlamini) surprisingly chose to wore an aquamarine-colored plunging top that just barely covered her breasts — and left the surgery complications on full display. After breast implant surgery, it's normal for the implant to be surrounded by what's called a 'capsule' of scar tissue, which ideally holds the implant in place. But in some instances, the scar tissue can begin to harden and contract around one or both implants, according to the FDA. The condition can make the breasts look overly hard, or give the implant a lumpy or misshapen appearance, which Doja seemed to indicate she was dealing with. According to the FDA, capsular contraction occurs when scar tissue around an implant contracts, creating a lumpy or misshapen appearance and sometimes making the implant painful In more severe cases the contraction can even be painful to the sufferer. Notably, the Baker Scale, which grades the severity of implant capsular contraction, indicates that surgery may be required to remove the implant if it looks notably abnormal due to contraction. Surgical options can include taking out the implant and removing all or part of the scar capsule, then either replacing the original implant or using a new one, though contraction may still occur in the future. Doja's fans didn't seem too concerned about her breast implant mishap in the comments on her X post. 'We were too mesmerized by the show to notice,' wrote one fan. Another person joked that 'tia and tamera were sitting pretty,' using a nickname for her 'twins.' Others admitted they had no idea what she was talking about, while a few fans suggested that Doja had overshared about her medical condition. And some fans joked that they couldn't see anything by posting photos of a blind Bart Simpson and a gif of Scooby-Doo's Velma being functionally blind after losing her glasses Doja's fans didn't seem too concerned about her breast implant mishap in the comments on her X post Others admitted they had no idea what she was talking about, while a few fans suggested that Doja had overshared about her medical condition Despite her implant issues, Doja still managed to set pulses racing with her jaw-dropping arrival at the glitzy event. She flaunted her incredible figure in an aqua-colored mini dress, with dramatic cut outs and a plunging neckline. She barely contained her ample assets in the slinky number, which cinched her in at her tiny waist and was adorned with sparkling sequins. The eye-catching number skimmed her thighs slit to showcase Doja's legs which were covered with fishnet tights, while she boosted her height with silver buckled stilettos. The Say So singer opted for dramatic jewelry, adding a chunky diamond choker and sparkly earrings to the look, whilst also sporting a full face of glamorous makeup. Her blonde tresses tumbled down her shoulders in a relaxed wave and she showed off her impressive arm tattoos as she posed for pictures. Later in the evening, Doja Cat took to the stage to perform a string of her top hits and put on an animated display as she entertained the crowd. It comes after the singer left fans speechless earlier in the year, as she boldly recreated one of the most controversial and provocative music videos in pop history. The Paint The Town Red hitmaker appeared to be reenacting the unforgettable moment that the three-time Grammy winner, 32, infamously straddled a swinging wrecking ball back in 2013. When Miley released her polarizing music video for Wrecking Ball, it earned the Vevo record for the most views in the first 24 hours after its release with 19.3 million views. The video, which features the former Disney Channel star licking a sledgehammer at one point, has since amassed over 1.2 billion views. Although she may have sought some inspiration from Cyrus, Doja paved her own path with the rest of the striking video, alongside her collaborator Don Toliver. In the video, Toliver gets behind the wheel as Doja rocks various futuristic looks. The artists joined forces on Lose My Mind, which will be featured in Brad Pitt and Damson Idris' upcoming F1 movie. They wrote the song, alongside producers Ryan Tedder and Hans Zimmer. The F1 The Album drops on June 27, the same day as the Apple Original Film, which stars Pitt and Idris as competing F1 drivers. Earlier this month, Doja shared a 16-track list for her forthcoming album Vie that included the songs Turn the Lights On, Slide, One More Time, Make It Up, Lipstain, Kink, Jealous Type and I Like You. It will follow her 2023 album Scarlet, which she previously called 'quite an angry project' during an interview with Jack Harlow for Present Space, last year. 'I think the point of that album was to showcase anger and how it processes through my mind, but also it's about coming to your own defense and love,' she said. Doja continued: 'It's sort of my "Why I oughta!" moment of squaring up with everyone and defending myself, telling myself that I'm here for me, and not just for everybody else's enjoyment.'
