It seems Kelvin Momo's missed gigs are not limited to international shows, as concerns about his reliability are growing among fans after the Amapiano sensation missed three recent gigs this past weekend, citing health issues.
The 'Amalobolo' hitmaker was meant to perform at Cafe 69, Piano Hub and Makubenjalo but did not show up, leaving his fans high and dry once again.
'See you guys soon 🤘🏽♥️💔 am really sorry,' is what Momo captioned the statement from his team posted on Instagram as he apologises for the inconvenience.
The statement read:
'To our valued fans and patrons, we want to extend our sincerest apologies for missing our scheduled performances at Cafe 69, Piano Hub, and Makubenjalo.
'Due to unforeseen health issues, our artist, Kelvin Momo, fell ill, forcing us to cancel these highly anticipated gigs.
We understand the excitement and anticipation surrounding these events and are deeply sorry for any disappointment this may have caused. The well-being of our team is paramount, and we had no choice but to prioritise Kelvin's health and recovery.'

This latest development comes as the 31-year-old DJ is facing a financial threat after Australian firm Ace Events filed court documents seeking the liquidation of his company, Kelvin Momo Productions.
The claim alleges that Ledwaba's company owes up to R2.8 million in refunds and damages due to his failure to perform at two scheduled shows in Australia last year.
According to Ace Events director Million Mwenge Butshiire, Ledwaba and his team received a 50% deposit for the performances but failed to show up.
The agreement between the artist and Ace Events specified that he was scheduled to perform for 60 minutes at Melbourne on November 2, 2024, and then again at Perth on November 3, for 60 minutes.
The agreement stipulated that if Ledwaba missed the performance, they would reschedule within three months of the postponement or cancellation. Failure to perform and reschedule would require an immediate refund to the promoter.
Ace Events claims that the people's favourite DJ did not show up for the gigs and failed to refund the promoter or reschedule the performances within the agreed time frame.
This is not the musician's first instance of missing a gig. In April, he sparked fan outrage after failing to appear at Piano Palooza in Zambia. He claimed he had a conflicting gig in Limpopo and could not catch his flight, but fans were left disappointed.
With the lawsuit looming and fans growing increasingly sceptical, it remains to be seen whether the hitmaker can regain the trust of his audience and actually start showing up for the gigs he is booked for.
