Controversial Strictly star forced to slash ticket prices by 50% after show scandal meant tour failed to sell out

STRICTLY Come Dancing pros have slashed tickets to one of their upcoming shows after failing to sell out. The performance, scheduled at New Theatre Oxford tomorrow (Tuesday 17th June), will see two faces join forces as part of their joint tour. 3 3 Giovanni Pernice, who famously left Strictly after Amanda Abbington triggered a probe into his backstage behaviour, has teamed up with Anton Du Beke for a tour they've named 'Together Again'. However, tickets have now been slashed to 50% off via the Show Film First in order to fill seats, with £43 tickets now going for £20.91. At their most expensive, tickets were going for £143 each, but now available for just £53. The entire balcony has also been closed off in order to bring ticketholders down to lower (and typically pricier) seats. The Together Again tour will continue across the UK through to the end of July. Giovanni and Anton have been longtime collaborators, with their travel show being axed in the wake of the Giovanni scandal, despite earning a Bafta nomination. Giovanni has since been cleared of all but six allegations made against him by former partners, including Abbington. Whilst Giovanni was cleared of being physically abusive to Amanda Abbington, he stressed that it made last year 'a dark year'. He said previously: 'I'm not going to lie, there were dark moments in terms of, you know, this is finished, this is the end of my career. "That was one of my down moments. Sorry for my language but 2024 can f**k off," he added. "I've been looking forward to seeing the back of it.' Giovanni Pernice stands by strict methods as he reveals upset at not winning the Glitterball with 'brilliant' Amanda Despite the Sicilian dancer sharing his hopes to rejoin the series, The Sun recently revealed that Simone Arena is set to replace him. The hunky Italian, 33, is the boyfriend of Michelle Tsiakkas, 29, who is also on the show, will join in the Autumn as one of two new pros. But all is not lost for Gio, who managed to bag over £1million in the last financial year – his most lucrative to date – via other television appearances, dance workshops, and moving to the Italian version of Strictly, Ballando con le Stelle. 3

Now fellow professional Dianne, 36, has revealed two new dancers will join the competition when Strictly returns later this year. Speaking on her podcast with Chris McCausland, she told her co-host: 'You were in my dream the other day. 'We've got two new pros this year on Strictly - don't know who they are yet - a new boy and a new girl.' Comedian Chris, 48 - who won the show with Dianne last year - asked: 'Who are they getting rid of?' Dianne replied: 'Nobody, but we're adding two more. I dreamt that you were the new pro male. But I was fake happy, and it's really mean for me to say that, but I wasn't really happy for you. 'I was like, 'what the hell? He's going to think he's better than me now'. 'And to make it worse you won the series, so you were a double winner and I was like, 'this isn't fair, now everyone's going to think it wasn't me who made him win it was actually himself that won it the first time'.' Last month The Sun revealed one of the new dancers in talks to join the show after he was seen in rehearsals with the team. We told how dancer and choreographer Luke Miller is hotly tipped to be announced as one of professionals. Dianne Buswell Opens Up About Dreams of Motherhood After Strictly Win An insider revealed: 'Luke has so much experience and is already loved by everyone so he seems like a very obvious fit. 'There have been some very big clues recently that haven't gone unnoticed. Everyone thinks it's just a matter of time before Luke is announced.'

Strictly Come Dancing's Amanda Abbington opens up about 'insane' health symptom

More info Strictly Come Dancing's Amanda Abbington has candidly shared her struggles with a particularly "insane" menopause symptom that disrupts her nights. The 51 year old actress revealed that she experiences "night sweats" so severe it feels as though she's been "swimming" during a frank discussion on the White Wine Question Time podcast. The Sherlock alum discussed the challenges women face during menopause, expressing a sense of becoming "we think we become invisible". Opening up to the podcast, Strictly star Amanda described the intensity of her symptoms: "The night sweats I'm experiencing at the moment are insane. "It's like I've gone swimming. It's amazing. I'm like how is this happening? How do I have this much fluid in my body?" Podcast host Kate Thornton chimed in with her own insights: "You get it right. You nail it with your HRT and then your hormones hit. And then we've got to tweak again," reports Surrey Live. (Image:) "And basically you're chasing your hormones. So you have no idea which way they're going to go. And it's as exhausting as trying to keep a dog on a lead." Previously, Amanda has spoken about the emotional toll the menopause has taken on her, describing it as an "emotional" rollercoaster. Continuing her conversation on the podcast, Amanda reflected on the societal pressures surrounding menopause, suggesting it's seen as "the start of the next chapter" where women feel compelled to "apologise" for their experience. She remarked: "Once we all hit the menopause, we think we become invisible and we think we have to apologise, there is a feeling of apologising for being there. (Image:) "My best friend, she's a writer and an actress and she's come through the menopause, and she's this fabulous beacon of shining joy and she says it's just wonderful. "You just grab it, you're not going to be that person who just hides, the menopause is supposed to be this shut off time and that's it. Actually no, it's the start of the next chapter." What exactly is the menopause? All women go through menopause, which marks the end of menstrual cycles, generally due to decreased hormone levels. It typically occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55 but can happen at an earlier stage. There are many symptoms of menopause that could be mistaken for other health issues. (Image: PA) What are some other common symptoms of the menopause? More than just night sweats, there are several typical symptoms reported by those undergoing the menopause. The NHS lists frequent symptoms such as:. Hot flushes Irregular periods Sleep disturbances Mood changes Weight gain. Reduced sex drive Muscle aches and joint pain How long might these symptoms persist? Menopausal symptoms can span months or even years, often evolving over time. For instance, while hot flushes and night sweats may subside, new issues like low mood and anxiety might arise. Some symptoms, like joint pain or vaginal dryness, may continue beyond the cessation of periods. For further details, visit the NHS website.

The star's son Joe, 19, is going to be starring in a new MGM+ show called The Institute, which is an adaptation of Stephen King's novel. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 7 A TV star has insisted that her son isn't a nepo baby, despite him landing a huge US role, and having a Hollywood A-list star dad The 19-year-old's mum has had a career spanning three decades, making her debut on screen in 1993 when she appeared in TV police drama The Bill. She also starred on Strictly Come Dancing not too long ago, and her acting credits include the likes of Doc Martin, Casualty, Teachers, The Sins, and many more. And the teenager's dad is also a big name in the acting industry. The Hampshire native has become a well-known face on the small and big screen for his high-profile roles. He first shot to prominence when he played Tim Canterbury in the BBC's smash-hit comedy The Office in 2001, and also starred in Love Actually, as film stand-in John who had a racy porn scene with Judy (Joanna Page). The dad-of-two also starred in Fargo, The Hobbit, played Dr. John Watson in Sherlock and recently created and starred in Sky series Breeders. And his raft of credits have earned him two Emmys, a BAFTA, as well as being nominated for a Golden Globe Award. It's none other than Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington, whose son is clearly following in their acting footsteps. But Amanda has insisted that their son Joe isn't a nepo baby. My Strictly ordeal with Giovanni was so toxic I was relieved when cancer scare meant I could quit, says Amanda Abbington The actress told the Mail of her son's acting gig: 'He's just done a massive Stephen King show called The Institute, which comes out next year. 'He spent four months in Canada playing the lead in that. He got it all on his own, without anyone's help - there was no nepotism there, which was good. None at all.' It's not the youngster's first foray into the acting world. He once starred in Everybody's Talking About Jamie in Tunbridge Wells and has starred in Doctors too, as well as a Paul Weller music video. 7 Joe with famous mum Amanda Abbington and his sister Credit: Getty 7 Amanda and her children Grace and Joe Credit: Getty 7 Joe's dad is Martin Freeman Credit: Getty Images - Getty Despite Amanda insisting that Joe isn't a 'nepo baby,' the profile on his agent's website details his success. It reads: 'Growing up with well known acting parents, Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington, Joe has spent much of his life backstage or on a studio set,' Scott Cole management declares. 'He has inherited the natural and engaging talents of both his parents and is well versed in dealing with the publicity that has followed his family.' Martin and Amanda - who also share daughter Grace, 16 - got together in 2000 and split in 2016. He has since found love with his French actress girlfriend Rachel Benaissa. 7 Despite Amanda insisting that Joe isn't a 'nepo baby,' the profile on his agent's website details his success Credit: Getty 7 Martin and Amanda - who also share daughter Grace, 16 - got together in 2000 and split in 2016 Credit: Rex
