Columbus ranked among most walkable cities in the US by USA TODAY
Despite the recent heat making the idea of walking outdoors a seemingly impossible task, Columbus is still an ideal city for getting around on two feet, according to a recent USA TODAY Readers' Choice Awards list. In a 10best article, readers voted Columbus among the best cities in the nation for its walkability. Alongside cities in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and others, Columbus ranked as the fourth most walkable city to visit in the nation. Locals can visit walkable neighborhoods like the Short North filled with galleries and coffee shops, the University District connecting to Ohio State University, German Village and more. The hotels, museums, concert venues and restaurants that are all in close proximity make downtown Columbus an ideal place to explore a little bit of everything. Looking to get to Columbus? The Greyhound bus was also voted among the top 10 best bus services to use. Greyhound has two local bus stops in Columbus: 111 E. Town St. and 306 E.
