Israeli Occupation Continues Assault on Tulkarm, Nur Shams for Weeks

Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against the city and refugee camps of Tulkarm and Nur Shams in the occupied West Bank, marking 48 and 35 consecutive days of attacks, respectively. The Tulkarm Media Committee reported a surge in displacement, with over 24,000 residents forced to flee both camps as Israeli forces intensify their operations. Many remain in shelters or have sought refuge in nearby towns. Israeli troops also fired at an ambulance evacuating a patient from the camp. In the Tulkarm camp, occupation forces forcibly expelled residents of the Al-Murabba'a neighborhood at gunpoint. They stormed the Abu Al-Foul and Qaqoun neighborhoods, breaking into homes, ransacking them, and turning them into military outposts. A house caught fire this afternoon during the ongoing Israeli assault on Nour Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm. — Quds News Network (@QudsNen) March 15, 2025 Israeli occupation forces blew up one of the gates of Al-Nasr Mosque in Nur Shams, raided the Al-Mahjar neighborhood amid heavy gunfire, and set fire to a house in Al-Manshiyya. Military reinforcements, including bulldozers and armored vehicles, have been deployed around seized buildings on Nablus Street, converting them into barracks. The ongoing assault has claimed the lives of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women—one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have been wounded or arrested, while forced displacement continues, with over 12,000 people fleeing from each of the two camps.
