SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — The Sioux Falls Municipal Band performs a free concert. The performance is at 8 p.m. in the Terrace Park band shell. The municipal band will perform free weekly concerts through July. The Summer Concert Series at Good Earth State Park in Sioux Falls features the Back Alley Band. The concert starts at 4 p.m. A park entrance license is required. It's opening weekend for the City of Sioux Falls outdoor pools and aquatic centers. They're located at Drake Springs, Frank Olson, Kuehn, Laurel Oak and Terrace parks. Open swimming will go from 1 to 5 in the afternoons and 6:30 to 8 in the evenings. Splash pads at Hayward and Pioneer parks are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wild Water West is also open for the season. The water park west of Sioux Falls features a tornado alley, the Black Hole and a wave pool. The hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. American Legion Post 15 in Sioux Falls is hosting an all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast. Serving time is 8:30 a.m. to noon at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance. You're invited to play Pokémon and win prizes at the Game Chest in Sioux Falls. The hours are 12:30 to 5 p.m. All ages are welcome and it's free to play. Movies playing at the historic State Theater in downtown Sioux Falls include The Bad News Bears, rated PG and Twisters, rated PG-13. The Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium at the Washington Pavilion features T-Rex, Mars: The Ultimate Voyage and 3-2-1 Liftoff. New movie releases playing at a theater near you include Karate Kid Legends, rated PG-13 and Bring Her Back, rated R. Enjoy a night of Sprint Car racing in at Huset's Speedway in Brandon. The Sioux Falls Home Expo is the place to find local experts for your next home remodeling project. The final day of the expo is taking place at the Sioux Falls Convention Center & Arena from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. The 21st Annual Swap Meet for Classic Cars, Trucks, Street Rods, and Bikes is taking place inside and outside the Armory Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls. The hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Sioux Valley Model Engineers Society is hosting an open house at their club building on the north side of the fairgrounds. You can check out South Dakota's largest permanent model railroad display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. American Legion Post 15 in Sioux Falls is hosting an all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast. Serving time is 8:30 a.m. to noon at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance. The cost is $8, $2 for children. There will also be a bake sale. The Legion is also is hosting a Post Everlasting Memorial Ceremony honoring veterans who have died over the past year. It's taking place at 6:30 p.m. AMC Collective in Sioux Falls is hosting a Plants and Pots Make & Take. Choose a pot to paint and decorate, then finish your project by planting a live plant or seeds to take home from 1-4 p.m. The cost is $5 per pot. High Plains Woodwinds present their Spring Concert. The performance is at 2 p.m. at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. A free-will offering will be taken. The Sioux Falls Children's Choir presents their Spring Concert on the campus of Augustana University. The performance is at 4 p.m. at the Hamre Recital Hall. The City of Sioux Falls Leaf & Branch Drop-off sites are located at Lyon Boulevard, south of the fairgrounds and on Chambers Street, near the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. Today's hours are noon to 5 p.m. The Spotlight Theatre Company presents Alice in Wonderland. The performance is at 2 p.m. in the Orpheum Theater Center in downtown Sioux Falls. Get your fill of Star Wars movies on this May the Fourth (be with you) at the State Theater in downtown Sioux Falls. Star Wars: Episode IV- A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, are all rated PG. SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Snirtfest caps off the skiing and snowboarding season at Great Bear Ski Valley. Snirtfest includes an invitational race at noon, sled races at 2:30 p.m. and a pond skim at 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety. This year's theme is Wild West so competitors are invited to dress up. Regular skiing and snowboarding will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. American Legion Post 15 in Sioux Falls is hosting an all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast. Serving time is 8:30 a.m. to noon at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance. The cost is $8, $2 for children. There will also be a bake sale. Get ready to sip, savor and vote in the Mash Madness drink competition in downtown Sioux Falls. Categories include craft beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverage creations at 29 participating businesses. Mash Madness runs through the end of the month. Explore Sioux Falls and South Dakota history courtesy of Siouxland Heritage Museums. The Old Courthouse Museum located downtown and the Pettigrew Home and Museum, in the Cathedral District, are both open from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free. The team championship rounds are being played at the Ramkota Hotel. Open indoor skating at the SCHEELS IcePlex in Sioux Falls goes from 1-3 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for children.
